90% of chants our cringe worthy, they're all pretty much the same tune but with different words. I thought the Northam was meant to be good? At least that's what they tell themselves.
Peterborough fan on facebook said that St Marys was soooo quiet, probably because I wasn't there helping you guys out.....
Make that 21,349, i wasnt there....I think our attendances have been pretty poor considering our position and the quality of football we have been producing
Over 5,000 down from the weekend and over 10,000 down since the last mid-week game at St Marys - Too many plastics if you ask me!
What about "De Ridder's right on form" sung to the tune of Riders on the Storm? (Like a goal away from home, like Pompey going down, De Ridder's right on form)
If you're referring to the that one continuous note they sing, I quite like that too. It's original and different.
There's just no pleasing some is there? It was light hearted entertaining and I can let my ten year old boy sing it. The fact the manager and players have commented also gives it some grace.
Just because you don't agree with the chant do's not make it moronic.. It's fans having a laugh after a day at work etc. If you don't like it don't do it no need to slag it off, unless the chant is over abusive in some way. Which this chat certainly was not.
Moaning about attendances is futile. I dont get it, we need more plastics to get interested to fill the ground to get to the next level. Thats a fact. But when they do turn up the Northam turn on them with various chants. I am not saying for one moment thats why we didnt have a massive crowd last night but I think it puts some people off. I also dont think the attendances away or home havent been that bad this season. People dont have much cash at the moment. Sure you would expect/want more people to go but those who want to go do. I would say 80% of my friends that are fans only goto say 2 games a season mainly due to geography and cash. Do I hate them? (secretly yes)
Whenever Steve got the ball the Northam would shout "Steeeeeeeeeeve!" Actually quite funny despite people moaning
Who let the Jos out, HOO HOO HOO HOO HOO HOO by the Baha men or the Who`s HOOO are you, hoo hoo, hoo hoo
How do you actually pronouce Jos Hooiveld? I know Jos is 'Yos' But Hooiveld; is it Hooveld, Hoofeld, Hoofelt, Hoiveld, Hoifeld, Hooeefeld, Hooeefelt? Anyone know?
