Never heard from my Brighton-supporting ex last night... so I gave her a little Tweet this morning (yes, tweet) and her reply was she was suprised it took that long :)

He just commented on the Chees Thread saying he hasn't had much internet of late (think he said work has blocked it and none at home, or something)

We have just been told that this weekend we have no power to our building, even though there is supposed to be a standby generator<yikes> I feel a relocation plan in the offing:( Oh dear they won't make a decision till tomorrow, which means someone else will have the faff of organising:) Also I finish nights on Friday:)

another win under our belt and i've just found out this job should take me right up to christmas, so a good few days just wish the weather would improve, but given the choice between watford winning and the weather improving, I would choose watford winning any day

Indeed H ,would be boring if we were the same and thought the same! ,in his defense it was late at night when he was on that train! Might have had to be up early etc!

Just as those who argued that 10 poor results should not mean we get on SD's back then two good results we should not mean we think all is rosy. However it is a start and certainly gives him breathing space. I do not think he would be fired before Christmas whatever the results and that is probably a good thing as now we can see whether he has learned - partly from his enforced team selection through injuries. I hope he has and that we continue to play a bit more and hoof a bit less - also I know I keep banging on about it but I hope he tries to find ways into the team for some youngsters - even if only short runs to give them a chance without overburdening them.

Let's hope we can build on those results

Morning all - My thoughts on last night.

- We played some excellent football and the influence of an attacking midfield player in The Prince is obvious, it is something we have badly missed.
- Defence was solid, although Dicko "got lost" a few too many times for my liking, although I think Forsyth needs to track back with their RB a little more positively.
- The crowd seemed to have a "game of 2 halves as well" - brilliant in the second half and really got behind the team, but I hated the ironic cheers when Forsyth got taken off.
- I did not think that Forsyth had that bad a game that he deserved all of the stick he got, yes he made a couple of mistakes, but they put 2 players on him everytime and that is not easy to play against. Plus if we put a long diagonal up to him, then we needs players around him to pick up the pieces - and to be fair, he wins the majority of those headers.
- But in saying that, I would have subbed Forsyth for Kightly and left Yeates on.
- We saw the best of big Chris last night, he does not have the legs to run the channels or run onto balls - this is what is left of hos game.
- Marvin was excellent, just did not connect properly on his shots. Another night he would have got a couple.

It is clear the changes we have made have made a huge difference, I suppose the question is "would SD have made these changes if the injuries had not forced him to?".

A few weeks off as I am not going up to 'Boro and watching from home - so Pompey next and the West Herts Beer Festival as well!

Very accurate assessment W_Y. Regardless of whether or not supporters thought Forsyth was off form(as i did) still try to gee him for next time, I have said in the past I think he's a good signing, we all have off days. Mind you I agree with you he should of been subbed not Yeates.

I am not expecting us to get much of a result Saturday, if fact to my way of thinking a draw would be a good result for us. However it has now come down to how we play in the difficult games and providing we don't collapse in a heap there has to be some hope.

Evening

6 points away from safety, I reckon we'll be out of the bottom 3 by the end of November easy, very good result for us yesterday, matched them in every area and wasn't dominated which was pleasing ;)
