Is this the transfer thread, or strikers V defenders? Get Theo in, he should be ok for 15 mins a game
You want more strikers and two Callums are better than one...but if you want irony we have a post on here talking about 4.8 goals!
c'mon guys, time to kiss and make up here... let's face it, BOTH viewpoints can be considered correct (ie, if we'd conceded less we'd have won more games and if we'd scored more, we'd have won more games).... We're back to the "glass half full, glass half empty" scenario under a different guise. Me personally, I'd like to see at least one "experienced" striker come in, just to help the younger ones we have at our disposal out a little... help relieve some of the undoubted pressure they must now be feeling and also to pass on a few tricks of the trade etc. It's fair to say that none of our current three strikers pose too much of a physical threat to defenders. By this I'm not advocating going back to route one type football, I'm just looking at how often the ball doesn't stick with the likes of Watters or Harris. Both can be effective in their own way (Harris works his butt off and must be a pain for defenders when they have the ball and Watters does take up some good positions/makes some good runs which will occupy defenders minds) but there have been several times where with just a little more guile and know how, we could and should have made more of some of our situations in creating and taking opportunities. By his own words Steve Morison has talked about the experience we've brought in, despite the young age of some of the players, however up front is now the only area where we have very little experience.... so maybe an "older" head would be good!? I trust Morison to put it right within the confines of whatever budge we may or may not have and if we can (or conversely can't) attract new players. I think we can all agree that the football being played is heaps more enjoyable than what we've been used to over the last 4 or 5 years and over time it should get even better. The team is still gelling and we will give someone a hiding at some point... we just need to patient and enjoy it when it comes.
I admire your diplomacy Brizzle. However the comments from a certain direction appear to defy the logical aim of football, i.e. to score more than the opposition in order to win games. In addition I'm still waiting for straight answers to straight questions. Remote's WUM comment may not be far from the mark.
I agree with Brizzle, if we didn't have different points of view what would be the point of posting, a different perspective should always be welcome, whether it; agrees with your thinking or not. But lets get back on track, it's about transfers on here is it not! Has anyone mentioned Theo
What a pleasure to read your post. I think Watters and Harris try hard enough but not enough movement to be in the right place at the right time. Things have gone badly wrong with the results and yet we have speed and some lovely passing ability, sometimes Ojo and Romeo want to take on everyone when an early pass could do it. I am enjoying watching us play even if it is frustrating at times.
Never heard you talk like this to a fellow poster BFB pal, not like you really, has being at the top of the Prediction League had an influence on you.....need some loving off Masky eh? BT hasn’t written to me yet still! MASKY OF LLANDAFF
Emiliana Sala was " on the web site holding the shirt ", but apparently he was never a Cardiff player.
Hey Vetch... bit slow on this one weren't you?? I along with many others on here expected you a little while back after our club's initial appeal was rejected... but I'll take the bait, just for a moment. May I suggest you take heed/note of a few of the the maxims within your own posts? Perhaps 3, 4, 5 & as you are a Jack... 10 may be useful to you...
Sometimes a fart can start off as “amusing and harmless” and in no time at all it can stink to high heaven pal, ask Clingon....(no offence intended)! MASKY OF LLANDAFF
