I don't think anything is absolutely essential today for us. Retaining our players is the most important thing.

Mannone as experienced cover would be nice but he's a free agent so it doesn't need to be resolved today.

A centre back or right back would be decent depending on whether we're planning to play 3 or 4 at the back. But if it doesn't come off, O'Nien has earned his chance anyway.

A combative midfielder who is ready to play immediately would be a boost, but we have enough numbers to make it work if not. 1 in with Matete out on loan and Winchester allowed to leave permanently would be ideal.

Another striker option is never a bad thing, but we've got plenty of flexibility in the wide and number 10 position to change things around up front where necessary.

Anything will be a bonus.

think his contract runs out on the 11th sept so needs to be done today

I'm just saying - your post was that Nixon knows nowt and only hears stuff on 606 and RTG - so I asked if this one was from RTG and you said no he heard it from Mowbray.

So Nixon does know a bit more than nowt.
