I thought the Lampard effect was where you kick a ball wildly in the general direction of goal and somehow it gets deflected in... ... At least when he was playing that was the Lampard effect.
Sounds like we are going to be busy in the last 24 hours, potentially 5 more players joining. Makes a change for us to be so active on the incomings
Well to quote We Ain't Got No History ... "£70 million (+bonuses) deal - not quite a world record for a defender, but it could yet become one if all the add-ons and bonus targets are hit". The Leicester City official club site merely says that the player has joined Chelsea for an 'undisclosed' fee. So what the actual full deal is who knows? ... but there are obviously some sources just pissing in the wind in claiming to know the exact details ... hopefully, for your sake, none have filled socks
-5% for the FA/Premier League -Agent fees -sell on clauses Probably lucky to see £50m of it spread over 5 years.
Never a chance he was staying after Rodgers had pushed him u set the bus to ease financial pressure at King Power https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62742837
I don't keep up with all the goings on, I'm no fan of Rodgers as I've said on here numerous times, but what financial pressure? I only ask because I thought Leicester's owners were wealthy, not Man City style wealthy maybe, but I assumed the owners of Leicester were more astute financially ie they don't splash the cash around in a reckless manner for trophies, but invest in the business and community itself, maybe I've been listening too much to Fosse on here.
They haven’t spent anything so far this summer and have been clearly waiting on sales. And despite what Fosse says they have wanted to improve the squad They let their goalkeeper go to ease the wage bill I have seen mention that they were up to 95% of turnover on wages. They bet on re-qualifying for the champions league. They also padded their squad last season with very overpaid squad players due to getting into Europe and now need to move them on And the owner’s main business is a duty free monopoly at Thai airports and was absolutely devastated by covid. Thailand locked down hard when it came to international travel
Spend a large amount of turnover on wages. Must be all the world class Yoof. Stuff like community projects etc are not considered and can be funded, like a charity I believe.
