Did Hasenhuttl shake his hand and look him in the eye? Only another £300m or so to go and their window will be over. Tuchel out!
Of course the pundits, who love to say the same things as each other, before the season were all talking about the gap between Chelsea and the top two, never the gap between Chelsea and the rest. Also after our match against them the only ones I heard give a prediction were sure they would finish above us. That might happen of course, but I don't see anything certain about that. Meanwhile the set of results wasn't bad for us tonight, now for us to bugger it up tomorrow.
Everton seem to have invented a new way to waste time. After a throw in was awarded against them, Gordon threw the ball into a space on the field behind the Leeds defence so that Leeds couldn't benefit from a quick throw under the multi ball system as the other ball was still on the pitch. Ref did nothing of course but gave Gordon a good talking to when he did more blatant time wasting a couple of minutes later.
More than a minute between a goal kick being awarded and it being taken according to the commentary. Not enough for a yellow card though....
For all their perceived August woes, Kings Road FC appear to be +1 pt on their "season compass" (so perhaps now is not the time to crow about them) .
A bit early to worry about season compass given it is a small sample so far, but current form is poor and something that should worry them. They've only played well against one team so far.....name escapes me.
Might that be the team that has only played one decent half of football this season, yet is currently +7 pts on its "season compass" ... ??
Talksport so busy sucking up to he who must be called Pep that they are saying Pep signed Debruyne for city ... even though Debruyne joined a year before he who must be called Pep joined ...ffs ... I so wish I could be that ****e at my job and get so well paid
Perisic, Forster, Bissouma (£25m), Richarlison (£50m), Spence (£12.5m), Udogie (£19m), Romero (£42m) = £148.5m. Including Romero in this season's spending is a little dubious, but I'll do it. Sterling (47.5m), Koulibaly (£33m), Slonina (£8.1m), Chekwuemeka (£20m), Cucurella (£56m), Casadei (£13m), Fofana (£70m) = £247.6m. About £100m difference. They've spent 2/3rds of our spending on top, basically. They sold Werner and Emerson for £33m and we sold Bergwijn and Carter-Vickers for similar.
