I thought that the club had finally taken notice of the problems that were there and have been for some time but it would appear not.. Yes, they opened up the ticket office and the club shop but there were plenty of other things that needed addressing (My lad commented on the half cleaned side of the stadium ,nearest the ticket office last game) Academy staff to name but one. After this latest episode with AN, I'm tending to agree that the club is being run on a shoestring.. I base part of this on something Barnes said in a podcast I listened to yesterday. It would appear that the stewards who service the stadium on a match day are paid , I think he said something like £3.00 PH less than the Stewards at Hartlepool. Now that smacks of penny pinching at the bottom of a gutter.
I’d been thinking that it wasn’t about money but after hearing from my Preston mate last night, Stoke have been throwing money at Neil for a while. I think add to that more autonomy and a carefully negotiated contract release and he’s off. It’s been on the cards for ages. We were a stepping stone.
Posted in both threads but valid in both. Mowbray massively trusted in the game to bring on youth players. Could be a huge help for us bringing in loans over next few days
Sub contracted out to Alpha security isn't it? They will get whatever their rate is from them I'd assume. Not sure what it is but not much I'd guess.
Just curious as the stewards pay is the latest thing to be trotted out. Liverpool pay £9 something according to Google, I was curious how that stacks up
Is that Liverpool FC stewards or are they contracted out? Be surprised if ours are more than 12 quid an hour.
Just what came up on a Google search, employed by the club. Trying to get some context after the "Hartlepool pay £3 more" comments and the doing things in the cheap narrative that's about
Minimum wage is £9.50 I’ve worked in temp recruitment before, used to supply Southampton, would be shocked if they’re on much more than min wage
So Liverpool and Southampton pay minimum wage, we must be paying minimum wage but because Hartlepool pay £3 more we are doing things on the cheap. That a fair assessment?
I’d assume so yeah, I doubt Hartlepool are paying £12.50 an hour either like but they might be, I’ve not been in temps for about 6 years now so things might have changed
Something like that. You’d think we we trying to run the club sustainably or something daft like that.
If reports are true, I'm hoping his contacts can help us get a couple in that may have been off the radar
Would like us to get that van Hecke who he had at Blackburn, he sounds a great defender but looks like he is getting game time at Brighton now.
Sure I heard Potter yesterday saying he's now in and around the first team. May change, but can't blame the player in staying if he fancies a crack at it this year
