It only makes sense if we have no money and there’s no leeway left on the wages budget.

So we loan out a fringe player on say £50k a week and bring in someone on the same salary but isn’t a winger.

Otherwise like you say it makes no sense just to loan him out and bring no one in.

 

Exactly no point just weakening the squad without getting some benefit in return.

Premier league teams loan players out for a £5m loan fee minimum, plus usually a guaranteed purchase price which is usually more than present value. If hes surplus get the loan fee, get him off the wage bill and bring in a good fee next year? If he is surplus to requirements

My thoughts same as yours. He offers nothing of a goal threat and we have the sinnerman and wee jimmy anyway.

Or how about 26 year old Almoez Ali Zainalabiddin Abdulla, 48 goals in 91 international starts, he's even played in the Austrian league, although his domestic goals are not as good as Afif's, as he has only scored 45 goals in 105 starts.

Took all of 90 seconds to look up stats for the Qatari forward line up, which I felt was a worthwhile investment to allow me to make an attempt at a humorous posts .

I'm more amazed at the amount of people out there who don't realise that there is this thing called the internet, where within a matter of seconds, you can find out virtually anything.

So I will freely admit to being a nerd about stuff like this, I have to find out for myself. If I was actually anal then I would have known those figures beforehand, just waiting for the one day when someone would make a post whereby I could put that knowledge to use

I realised that Lol, my original reply was going to be "yes, I am that anal", but decided that just admitting that I rely upon Google for most of my stat answers was a more amusing answer. Then as always I got carried away and went on a ramble, and thus lost the way my reply was meant to be interpreted.

As for being a geek/nerd when it comes to numbers and stats, I freely admit it. I'm not ashamed of it, although I freely accept that some of my posts will send people asleep because they are so number intensive
