The question we should all be asking Vince is Why only 60 minutes, he trains all week, haven't heard he's carrying a knock so why is he running out of steam as he does
Mind he's not the only one who struggles to do 90 minutes so was ANs coaching a bit lax in some areas?
Sometimes depends on the intensity you play at and whether you haven’t got the ball

No scarfs being held above heads...

Striker CM? RB and CB needed

Also Stewart to sign a new contract

My assumption is that Speakman is holding the purse strings on orders from KLD

Only a few days left... of transfer window

Not forgetting a manager who seemed okay a few weeks ago, upped sticks and left us in the lurch...

Trouble t'mill
You're still banging this drum? We're spending plenty, people keep pointing this out to you but you keep ignoring it and coming on to say we're doing things 'on a shoestring'.

our latest two signings were at the game Saturday.

Stewart can sign a contract at any point.

**** that little snake. This was his plan all along.

This is it, we're pressing and playing with such intensity that it's inevitable we'll tire. With the 5 subs rule that's not an issue and can instead be an intended approach, you just have to actually make the subs which has been the flaw in our plan thus far!!

I know the quality outside our first eleven needs improving but I would still argue that a fresh Matete or Hume or Roberts or Embleton offers more than a Pritchard, Evans or Neil who are blowing our their arses. In fact we saw as much in the Sheff Utd game.

We saw both sides of Pritch on Saturday, first half he drove us forward and ran his socks off, it was good to see in the circumstances, but he had clearly ran himself into the ground, just why it took so long for the "coaches" on the touch line to see it is of genuine concern and the sooner they are replaced the better imo. They have shown little to suggest they are capable, it showed last season as well, before AN arrived and the academy also went backwards under their leadership, just why they got promoted is a complete mystery tp me.
I agree . I was watching them and they kept looking at their watches as if they were waiting for a specific time in the game. It’s been the same at home all season delaying the subs, assuming they think that the players are capable when they go on. It is a worrying trend.

The modern game is a squad game, to not use subs well is a real fault by the management

Totally this...we should have matched them straight away, mind they're not many teams will bring on 3 subs of that quality, and that's what cost us the game.
I'd of settled for a 0-0 draw when they came on.
That is true but we were running on empty in the middle of the park for 20 minutes before embo replaced Pritchard.

Is Michut our biggest signing of intent so far? We seem to have got so used to signing young talent that we're not getting excited enough about this one in my opinion. I don't think this is just a signing to develop. I think this is a regular starter who our whole system will be built around. This is our Thiago. Or at least, that's the intention.

This kid played against Lyon this year. He provided an assist playing against European calibre opposition. He was in the same team as Mbappe and Verratti! He's 19 and has played in the French youth levels up to U19. As a 17 year old, Man City and Barcelona were trying to sign him. This summer, Celtic and Sevilla have both made bids for him but somehow he's coming to Sunderland!

We'd be getting excited about the lad if it wasn't for the coach situation, just seemed to take the shine off everything.
I'm absolutely astounded we've managed to get him here. A coup imo.

Agreed the 3 subs Norwich made changed the game for them in my opinion.
QPR did exactly the same , sometimes it works and QPR had nothing to lose 2-0 down , Norwich were in the game at 0-0 but were quite fortunate and had good players on the bench to put on to swing things in their favour . Pritchard was out on his feet and should have been replaced earlier as his influence on the game disappeared . Our bench was nowhere near as strong as Norwich’s and they managed a smash and grab win .
