It doesn’t pal, but don’t let facts get in the way of opinion. Speaking of which it is clear to see we have a bigger net spend than the bulk of this league- I think 3rd net https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2
First time I have seen that. When Stelling made out we had done nothing cause we signed ballard for 2 million and Jack Clarke who was here last season anyway, my first thoughts were a bet the lad from West Ham was about half a million and Jack Clarke was undisclosed but bet he was a couple of million. We would have also had Broadhead on a permanent ny all accounts if he didn't change his mind, again a couple million?
That sort of deal could save Everton this season. Especially with Alli being peddled & £25m to spend. Wow.
Jeff Stellings comments still pisisng me off! I hope Dave Jones gives him backhanded to the ballsack next time he passes Jim in the corridor, then walks off leaving him in a crumpled mess like nothing has happened.
100%. Gallagher is quality. Broja has potential to be. I’d rip there hands off and give the lad a piggy back to London for that deal.
in summary…. 10 clubs have spent nowt 6 clubs have made money via their dealings esp Burnley & Watford 8 clubs have spent money - Norwich spending the most at ca £10m net. I actually think we’re next at £4.4+ given the Bennett’s signing …. Plus Clarke, the French kid etc Sheff Utd next up with a £4 mill outlay
They would be insane to reject that. They're getting 2 players that would improve their first team and some cash to take a punt on a fast wide player.
Gordon is also getting a bit of a reputation for diving too, surely they will snap their hands off with that offer.
Is Michut our biggest signing of intent so far? We seem to have got so used to signing young talent that we're not getting excited enough about this one in my opinion. I don't think this is just a signing to develop. I think this is a regular starter who our whole system will be built around. This is our Thiago. Or at least, that's the intention. This kid played against Lyon this year. He provided an assist playing against European calibre opposition. He was in the same team as Mbappe and Verratti! He's 19 and has played in the French youth levels up to U19. As a 17 year old, Man City and Barcelona were trying to sign him. This summer, Celtic and Sevilla have both made bids for him but somehow he's coming to Sunderland!
I'm certainly excited by this signing but I think we need to give him time to settle. It's hard for foreigners coming over here to play, especially youngsters.
Its loan with option to buy? problem with that is if he has a fantastic season his agent will tout him elsewhere...if we are sure about him....kinda wish we would just buy him now
