Apart from the fact its a ****ish thing to do, it's the stupidity of it that gets me. Any anger should be directed at Eddie Howe and not Longstaff.

Those 'fans' commenting reckon they love the club, so put themselves in his shoes. He's a local lad who has grown up supporting the club. As he grows up he's told he's a pretty good footballer and might be able to make a living at it. Gets signed up by the club he supports and eventually makes his way into the team. Three different managers (including a Champions League winning manager) tell him he's good enough to be in the team and keep picking him to play for the club he grew up dreaming of playing for. I mean, what a **** for not turning around and refusing to play because some fat turd in the local pub reckons he's a **** midfielder.

No point in contemplating any formation besides 4-3-3

    Almiron-------Isak/Wood--------Fraser
    -----Joelinton-Longstaff-Willock-----
    Targett-------Burn-----Schar------Manquillo
    ---------------------Pope-------------------------

    Bench ASM, Trippier and Bruno.

Palace at home is a far more winnable game.

Not sure what the four stars stand for, but I'd like to be clear that I haven't used anything belonging to Les!

Way to make him feel a lot better about it. You should change your user name to Mr Pot.

Understood but Bruno isn't playing anyway, Eddie said he may miss two games. I wouldn't risk it.

Trippier and ASM, we don't want to take too many risks with some of our best players.

We have to face reality that Liverpool away is the 2nd toughest fixture.

We have to manage our resources.

Why risk some of our players that are clearly fatigued and injured to try and beat Liverpool away?

We have a great set of fixtures coming up after Liverpool, we need our best players fit to maximize points from that.

We should definitely turn up. If we don't we'd be docked three points, so turning up would be like a win and if we've already won then the pressure is off and they might play well meaning that team would have won twice at Anfield in one day!

They could lose both games anyway.. you just take it game by game and pick your best possible team .

You've never heard of the pep roulette then? Managers have to manage resources.

If your players are clearly carrying injuries that put them at risk, if you don't heed the warnings you could miss them for a season.

No point risking injured players in a much less winnable game. Far better you save your resources for better days.

I'm not saying we should accept defeat, I'm saying manage resources, like the best managers clearly do.

Yes, but taking into account the odds of that happening vs far greater odds of beating other teams, I'd say if you're risking injured players to do it, it's a little thing called - Risk vs reward.
