There is some silly stuff on here at the minute. The people, in the frame, are limited because they fit the bill. The next person in charge will be justifified, not plucked from thin air. Jusy be steady...

Therefore what's wrong with giving Phillips a go... we are not expecting promotion this year, therefore let's build with an x player??

Hasn’t he turned us down in the past? Few years ago mind and no problem if things weren’t right (was he at Aberdeen or am I making that up?).

Name rings a bell that’s all

I'm believing absolutely zero rumours, including anything to do with Mowbray. Yes he's been seen about the club that's all anyone knows.

I don't think any journos or any ITKs on here have a clue what's happening/has happened. Speakman is the man for this stuff and he's a pro, meaning that he's a closed book.

Who is this Bob like? I've been on here for years. He was at the AOL early on Saturday. I guess Doris the tea lady.

He was on rtg for years, I haven't been in there for a few years myself (I prefer the pace of this board I can be at work not touch it and take a look in the evening and it hasn't moved on too many pages that I'd never catch up)

Reckons he has all kinds of connections in football and is itk. No idea if he does or not over the years a few have said they know him and he deffo does. Loads reckon he is full of it. I have no idea.

At least he doesn't talk in riddles here, I could never work out what he was going on about over the road!

    Love it.

Could understand if it was a genuine big club going places but Stoke City? It’s embarrassing <laugh>

Are we still looking at Mowbray taking over or has the betting shifted in another direction. Whatever happens hope the club don't dick around for 3 weeks like they did last time

Manning would be my first choice. I was really impressed with the job he did at MK Dons last season and he did well in Belgium prior to that . He’s also got a track record developing young players.

Alright fella. Yeah, all seems to be Mowbray still. Was at the AOL (had this confirmed just after Bob and messaged a few on here and Twitter) and our game early Saturday. No idea why he would be at the AOL if it wasn't for serious talks, if it was just the game then maybe not. He is also out of work, so no compo needed and wouldn't command a big wage. Good mates with Stuart Harvey so should be zero conflict on recruitment targets.

I personally hope not but heard nowt to suggest it won't be him. Would rather Manning and try to really show a greater level of innovation and someone who may have the potential of rise upwards. Just dont see it with Manning's backroom staff, which is significant and the compo that would have to be paid.

Robins would be my first and understands working in a recruitment system. He’s knocked us back for Cov though so I think wouldn’t come. Getting someone quickly at this point is important but difficult because most will have more integrity than Neil.
