Do you not think it’s the midfield that’s the problem as they get played through too easily??
Our defence gang up and sit deep but Cov like the baggies played 5 a side through us , I think teams have sussed how slow with the ball are our 3 centre backs and how slowly they move in close passing areas hence their own and baggies edge of box shots

that's a fair point - but once they've past midfield the defence aren't dealing with it - it also doesn't help when our back line think they're Man City and try and play it out from the back - it invariably gets messy because we faff about and eventually play an under hit pass which creates even more pressure - worse defensive record in league, most shots against and keeper with most saves - not good stats - at the moment we're scoring more than we let in - lets hope the scoring doesn't dry up

This gets on my tits. More teams will work out that as soon as we’re put under pressure the bottle goes & we panic.

Slater was excellent, although according to the clowns behind me today Oscar is lazy
Worst part of having a season pass/membership. You're stuck with the prats around you every game! Could at least go and sit with different prats if paying game by game!

I don't know why we try to play out from the back so often, as we seem to have far more success with a long ball to our strikers. I'm not suggesting we just hoof it but we never seem to have any success with playing out, it usually ends up played back to Ingram to clear or lost through bad passing.

I suspect the reasoning is that by playing out from the back, it draws the opposition forwards, creating more openings up front.

'never have any success'? 11 points from. 6 with one defeat. Reading this thread today seems like we're propping up the table.

They'll learn as they gel when to play out and draw the opposition on and when to go direct. It's early days with 11 injuries - most in midfield so I don't really think we can use the last few games as an indication of what to expect when we're all fit and firing.

Os-car Estu-pinan, he's a f***ing goal machine
Instead of
Ra-ra Rasputin, lover of the Russian queen
There came a man from Columbia that you’ll know
He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to City fans he was someone that we’d cheer.
He could lead the line just like a preacher
Full of ecstasy and fire
But he also was the kind of striker
City fans would desire
Os car Estup inan
Lover of the ball between
Two defenders, then he’d be gone
Os car Estup inan
City’s greatest goal machine
And we all know that he’ll carry on

Fairly straight forward to remember…

You've gotta dangle the carrot for it to work. Yeah will get caught out from time to time but it will create more space on the counter and hopefully lead to more goals in our favour.
Thats where Seri comes in... when he's played, the ball has come to him outside the box and then we go forward... it didn't work once with him though..

So interesting question time.... When all the Injured players come back, how do we line up? Who would be dropped as ATM nobody deserves to be! Shota and his team have some tough choices to make in the coming weeks!

On paper I'd say our best team would be:

Baxter
Christie Fig Greaves Fleming
Seri Tufan
Sayyadmanesh Pelkas Sinik
Oscar

On current form it's very hard to drop Slater, Tetteh, Ingram, Jones etc...

Baxter/Ingram
Christie Fig/Jones Greaves Fleming
Seri Salter
Sayyadmanesh Tufan Pelkas
Oscar

I got it down to 2 syllables, Os-Car!

it certainly is, but if someone's after using the rasputin tune, there will have to be a three syllable bit afterwards. perhaps "knocks 'em in" after a couple of os-cars. and maybe "city's greatest goal machine."

scoring will inevitably dry up
if oscar continued in this vein, he'd have more than 45

and our shot to goal ratio is 27% by far the highest in the league
once that drops to more average numbers, suddenly points are looking hard to come by

Pay attention
I’ve posted the full song already
Just get learning it !
