Coyle's crossing created all three goals today. One of them with the left foot that he also scored twice with last season. Can we accept that he's decent on the ball yet?
He pretty much assisted/played the dangerous pass for 4 of our 10 goals.

cross to tetteh against bristol to win the penalty
3 great crosses today

Having a left and rightback that can cross and put in dangerous passes is crucial but most clubs seem to overlook it. Part of why liverpool are so successful robertson + trent

we need a left back that can cross .

Great performance - really starting to come together and we still have half a team waiting to come back from injury - Oscar really is a proper goal scorer / striker, give him half a chance and it's in - thought Tetteh played well too - Slater and Woods were busy getting stuck in across the middle - about time we hadf some grit - anyone still miss Honeyman - bit concerned about our defence - too much fannying about at the back, too many short passes across the back putting players under pressure and losing the ball - totally unnecessary and resulting in too many goals being shipped - think Jones will find himself on the bench and possibly Coyle before too long once our walking wounded return and possible new faces - great atmosphere and good decibel level - well done to all concerned - happy days at City once again

I thought Alfie looked comfortable as a ball-winning midfielder and I’d start him with Greaves ahead of Figs in a back 4 atm. I don’t think he’d automatically drop out once players return from injury.

I thought so too but you wouldn't think so with the two idiots sat behind me. He, Slater and Woods were all ****e apparently. Some things never change!

You can't attribute Oscar's first to Coyle. He shot when he should've passed and it was outstanding work by Oscar to direct it in. You see so many players miss in those situations

He did put in 2 lovely crosses but both should've been defended.

It was one of Coyle's best game for ages but he should've been at fault for a goal and would have if it was for Ingram's heroics.

Behind Oscar, was my MOM. He's better than most give him credit for. No surprise Williams was dropped for leaving him out to dry at the Hawthorns.

Some call it heroics some call it Ingram doing his job:emoticon-0105-wink:

Having experienced the first 2 home games live at the ground, to now have to watch what was another fantastic atmosphere created by the City faithful, watching on ifollow doesn't come close to being in the ground, but better than nothing.

I really enjoyed the game even though at times it was edge-of-the-seat stuff, but a game of great watchability, and Coventry contributed to that also.

For Oscar to get a hattrick and to now have 7 goals is beyond all our expectations, and he is some signing. Tetteh quietly goes about his business but is also effective, the ball through for Longman, who should have scored was excellent, and not unlike the one he put through for Oscar at West Brom.

Greaves was excellent again. Figgy was poor and both he and Elder both gave away the ball a bit too much, though Elder did well for Oscar first and last goals on the plus side.

Coyle/Slater and Oscar were the pick of the players, Coyle seems better suited to 3 at the back, as this pushes him wider but had a very good game as did Slater. Woods was neat and tidy, and special mention to Cannon as he has a good game after coming on for Covil.

With half the team out injured and getting these results in spite of them is largely down to the team spirit which is obviously still high even though there have been a lot of new faces.

Finally, the transformation of the buzz now around the whole place is really quite remarkable, and certainly, Acun has the midas touch and astonishing how quickly he has turn things around, and long may it continue.
