Where or maybe should I say when does the line from too early change to out of our hands

    for example
If we draw with Newcastle midweek and City, Brighton and possibly Arsenal win
The title is out of our own hand cause even winning every game will not win us the title if City win all bar our two games

however it is deemed as too early to make such a claim

in Jan people claim it’s too soon so is it feb - March ?

How do we know it wasn't because @luvgonzo had a failed match day thread?

I think Luv should start another one, and we all ignore it again.

Where’s @Jimmy Squarefoot? Waiting for him to come on and find something negative to say about Hendo in that performance :bandit:

Fingers crossed the team put that kind of effort in for every game from now on. You’d hope klopps had a right go after Monday to make the point that the lack of effort shown wasn’t good enough.

Yeah been a lot of talk from people saying we have gone crap
    We haven’t
However we may have been guilty of struggling to get ourselves up for the season - we showed against city reserves or not how we can play
First game was a really let down
Second game was a poor performance
Utd for me was a decent game, a bad result and okay performance against a team
    Right up for it

would have been easy to capitulate a be on the end of a thonging but by the end we were wishing we had had 10 more mins

for me until City let us back in the title is over but still loads to play for and when we get our players back it might just be in time for that crazy period in October !

Elliott has been the best midfielder by far. Real positive, reminds me of last year before the injury.

Would happily see Fabinho, Thiago and Elliott when all fit.

Been really good this season. He’s positive on the ball and having left footer in there just adds a bit more balance. Hopeful he’ll turn into a similar type player as David silva. Goal today was lovely strike, and having that ability to score from outside the box is an option we don’t have from our midfielders a lot of the time.

Scoring slowed down when Milner came on Tbf :bandit:

im sure it hasn’t, but hope this result hasn’t masked the need for another midfielder though.

bournemouth gonna be the whipping boys of the league by looks of it, if we come out with 6 points from the next 2 games then will be confident back to somewhere near our best.

Should have Nunez, and maybe Keita back next week as well to bump up the bench

Nice that managed to give couple youngsters game time. Would imagine Bajcetic and Clark will get some minutes in league cup game so giving them but of 1at team experience beforehand can only help.

Hendo, Fab and Elliott were the midfield 3

    Milner came on at 69mins
