clough24 my turn to ask questions - Why are all Forest fans middle-aged, fat, tattooed and bald-headed? Why did Forest take three years to get out of League One? Why haven't Forest been in the Premiership in the 21st Century? Why did you have to resort to having David Platt, Ron Atkinson and Dave Bassett as managers? What happened to your plan for a new 40,000 stadium? Failure to answer these questions is evidence of Leicester's superiority over Forest.
I have said before we will get loads of wums now and at the end of the season when we get promoted it will make it that little bit sweeter for us
I don't think there's anything wrong with having confidence. Obviously we're a big club with a good set-up and we've spent money, so it would be very odd if we weren't talking about promotion. That doesn't mean we should attract WUMs. No one goes on the Doncaster boards and mock them for having the affront to believe they were going to survive this season.
Teams dont spend 10M+ not to win promotion. Leeds fans are just jealous that Ken Bates just sucks money out the club and puts none back in. They lose their best player every year for peanuts. Beckford, Schmeichel and Gradel all gone and they dont have much money to show for it
None that I know of in real life or on this forum have said any such thing. If they had been, I'd have ribbed them about it.
If Leeds had spent money like us we would never hear the end of it. They would think it would be their right to win all 46 matches
"mummy why do all the other kids pick on me" "oh sweetie, they are just jealous because you're so handsome and smart!"
Hey its not our fault we have some money and other teams dont. Because you lot are poor does that mean we shouldnt spend any money. We paid 4M for Matt Mills had Reading gone out and spent the money on players from championship clubs and then them clubs done the same thing they it would of made the division even better everyone would be saying Im just grateful we have owners like Top and Vichai and not Ken Bates
It's very rare for any fan to completely concede to relegation before the season starts. Otherwise, why bother? Doncaster's target was and is survival. Ours was and is promotion. If any Doncaster fan tells me they ARE going to survive this season, then I'd say fair play for keeping the faith. Any Leicester fans says we ARE going to get promoted, then we're an arrogant bunch of b*******.
What I'm saying is that Leicester's willingness to spend these obscene sums (for a second division team) is helping to deepen the problem in modern football of money being the root to success. It's not Leicester fans' fault, although I haven't met one who's acknowledged my argument that this kind of spending is unhealthy for the game of football yet. I never said they should concede to relegation, just that they shouldn't be 100% cocky about surviving. And the ones I've spoken to have all been pretty realistic about the fact it could be a hard season for them scrapping in the bottom half. I'd say leave the predictions to Mystic Meg.
