Having said all that about Neil. I think the club need to take a long look at its self and this project if a manager who gets us promoted and the fans and players love prefers to jump ship and go to stoke. Doesn’t bode well for the level of our next appointment
If he's leaving because he feels he hasn't been backed in the market - I 100% back the club on that If he's leaving because we won't give him a longer deal - then that's on the club. Either of them aren't great on him. and certainly not the timing.
he was more than happy to sign a rolling contract and said he had no problem with it as it’s normal. he’s a ****ing bare faced liar.
Nobody knows if he has been offered a contract or not, or if Neil wanted the rolling 1 yr contract. The club is getting a lot of stick at the minute rightly of wrongly, but it's AN who has went to speak to them 24hrs before a game and nearing the end of the transfer window, he has f#@*ed us over
I hope the club just sack him now, whilst he on route to Stoke. The when he gets to Stoke for talks, they decide against him and he ends up with no club. The bloke has absolutely ****ed us. Yes, he could have been backed more, but to leave in this manner, with 6 days until the window closes is a pure ****house move.
I would like to know what really happened with Broadhead, htf he ended up at Wigan, we wanted him but would pay up? Perhaps this is what pizzed Neil off?
I dont want to do the maths but it feels like we took a month, mid season, to appoint a manager for 4 months worth of football
Can't even be arsed starting the whole checking odds for our next manager, just give me a shout when the next one starts spouting the usual "Masive club" "back where it belongs" "great fans" ****e.
Can't have it both ways,. Wasn't backed in the transfer market and also wanted a new contract? Which one is it? If he doesn't feel like he was backed then why ask for a longer contract?
All the talks with Stoke will have been done already. He knows what the offer is, what the JD is and will just be walking into sign on the dotted line. I cant imagine anyway he walks in and learns something that makes him think nah.
Just let him go and move on. Terrible example for players on eve of big game. Going to Stoke ffs. If it were a Premier League club fair dos. Live, learn and move on. Let’s bring in someone better….
