Simply ridiculous that fans are turning after such a minor blip. With likely 3 wins out of 3 this will all be forgotten. The fickleness of fans never ceases to amaze me.

Well forgotten is a strong comment.

5/12 leaves us short of points no matter what we do so we just have to get on with it

City have been dropping points. It’s not as if their record is perfect.

It's a well proven target that 9/12 is what you need for 1st.

    7/12 for 4th minimum.

    5/12 is well shy.

City could be on 10/12 which is right on for 1st place after game week4 and we will be on 5/12

That is catch up time all season long. It is what it is now.

I’m not sure I understand the numbers you use but surely the haul out of 12 points (4th match) is way too early to determine final places?

I mean, you never know. This looks another strange season, like the one Leicester won, when all the big teams forgot how to play football.

After 95+ points generally being the target to win the League recently. 80 might be enough this season.

I watched Bournemouth v City, they where awful, almost suicidal in their want to play out from the back.

I can only hope they try the same against us, but it would be ridiculous given the previous 3 games

    City drew 1. Not 5.

They will most likely have 10 points from 12 which is zero drama position to be in.

Arsenal are also a big team but they have a very easy run of early fixtures so the tests there are to come

Spurs have had a reasonable start as well.

Just cos we have started badly doesn't mean all big sides have.

<peacedove>It is not a disaster yet, played 3 drew two and lost one. At home to Bournemouth. With the present form of Liverpool no game is an easy game even at Anfield. Bournemouth 3 points Liverpool 2 points 15 &16 respectively in the league. I think Liverpool are going to be up for this.
I am going for Liverpool 3: 1 Bournemouth

    Other fixtures and predictions:

    Saturday 27/08/2022
    • Sunday 28/08/2022
    • Wolverhampton Wanderers v Newcastle United 2:2
    • Nottingham Forest v Tottenham Hotspur 2:2

Chris Sutton has gone for comfortable Home win. 3:0

    Liverpool v Bournemouth
There is a long way to go in the Premier League season, but this is must-win for Liverpool in terms of they need to get their season going and kick-start it. It is win in any which way you can. It is that desperate for them, in some respects.

They lack creativity in the middle of the park and that has been a big problem. Darwin Nunez's sending off after the headbutt has set them back, they have lacked that physical presence and they certainly missed him against Manchester United, I think he would have made a difference.

Roberto Firmino has been a good player for them over the years, but they are missing something, they are missing their spark, they need to get it back and we are all thinking what a great opportunity at home to Bournemouth.

I watched Bournemouth get walloped by Manchester City the other week, but they were stubborn in the way they defended and really committed. Liverpool will want an early goal and I suspect they will win this one 3-0.

    Sutton's prediction: 3-0

Ross: Liverpool will be stinging from losing on Monday and I think Bournemouth will go down. They should have enough to beat Bournemouth, especially at Anfield, and I can't see them going four games without winning.

    Ross's prediction: 4-0
