We have no money coming in from sales, we have income of less than 200m a year, we have no idea what commercial deals are incoming (and they will be regulated), our wage bill is going to rise massively, etc. We can spend a lot for the next 3 years, but then what? Without CL, we will hit a brick wall financially.

We are still likely to sign Pedro, and Maddison has similarly picked up an "injury" as it has been strongly suggested we will sign 3 players - this CF, a RW and a CM - before the window shuts. So, yeah, more of the same really.

Might as well ask why you can't freeze ice in an oven. It was designed to do the complete opposite. FFP was never meant to be fair. It was meant to protect Europe's 'elite' from anyone who may wish to invade their private party (like us)!
