We're not getting 4th. We're not getting top 6. I'd snatch your arm off for 8th right now, I think that's the best we can do this year, 10th and I'd be satisfied.

Good line up though and if that was starting XI the second string looks a lot stronger as well

    Almiron - Wilson - Fraser
    Longstaff - Shelvey - Willock
    Lewis - Botman - Lascelles - Manquillo
    Dubravka

So is the Pedro deal now dead? It's all gone very quiet, having supposedly been a 'done deal'.

Will we play our new record breaker up front or as an upgrade on Almiron. He can play across the front very well. If played on the wing, it would prevent doubling up on ASM meaning we would be even more dangerous. Still need that striker filled if so.

With Almiron. His movement and ability will frighten the life out of defenders. Almiron, Max, Isak, it's terrifying.

He's 100% a modern CF. Just because he can run from deep or drift wide doesn't make him a winger. Could he do a job there? No doubt. But he's got instincts to finish, height to worry the opposition and deceptive ability on the ball for his height. He's a developed Ekitike, so we had to pay £25m more for the real deal. I imagine the price for Sesko went through the roof and put us off, and the injury to Wilson hammered home the need to have someone who can come in immediately.

He will press high and fast as well, counter at pace, and so on. I think Pedro is still seen as, I reckon, more of an inside forward and potentially a 10 or false 9 should we tweak formations. He's way more of a prospect.

I think we'll still be in for a CM on top of signing Isak and Pedro. Gallagher would be my bet, though there's a chance we could either still be in for an attacking 8 (Paqueta, Maddison, Tielemans) or maybe even go for a big DM like Ndidi to shuffle Bruno further forward.

Isn't henderson on loan at forest tho....so they bring in Dubs from us as cover or for when De Gea drops his next clanger and they get Hendo back next season if they want him. A loan fee can go towards Maddison maybe....not that we need the money like but if it helps with FFP then **** it.

I am wondering if Watford have pissed us about to much so we pulled out and went all in on Isak.
