That looked dodgy as **** to me. I thought he was off in real time and I'll have to have another look at the VAR. Compare that to some of our "marginal" ones and it's not even close.
as funny as it is, I agree. Looked really obvious on the replay. Can’t believe united have got away with that one. still, if it stays like this the Klopp interview at the end of the game will be gold.
Liverpool missing Thiago, Keita and Fabinho in midfield (at the start at least) might be the most significant factor in this game so far
Liverpool are all over the place. United look dangerous every time they break. There’s more goals in this
And Kounate or Matip at centre-half, while Mane's supposed replacement is suspended. Their midfield looks tired and unbalanced. Henderson's legs look like they've gone.
One thing that’s worth pointing out this season for VAR offsides is that the PL are using an AI powered tool to work out what’s onside and what’s off but the images from that aren’t being broadcast until next season, apparently. So what they show on TV isn’t what enforces the decision. I think.
Liverpool just don't seem that strong at the start of this season. But you wouldn't get that impression if you listen to the pundits. Surely it can't be that the pundits don't know as much as they'd like to think?
I can understand running the new system in parallel with the old for a time to see if it flags up any differences, but the situation you describe would appear to be the worst of all worlds.
