Just shows how much missing thiago to actually get his foot on the ball and control the game. Milner Hendo Elliot just don’t offer that composure in the middle so any kind of press on them and screwed.

Not replacing Gini has always felt like a mistake to me. Thiago is quality but Gini almost never got injured. Add in Keita and Jones' frequent injuries and the above is what we're left with. Unfortunately Elliott's injury set back his development as well.

I’ve just got home from a long drive from Stansted. I had hoped to listen to the live commentary on 5live only they’ve forgot something on called the Monday Night Club. Mark Chapman et al talking bollocks. They couldn’t even put the commentary on 5live sports extra on DAB as they’ve e got the Waste if space hundred Cricket on. The two biggest teams in Britain ( in terms of achievements) and they can’t even prove live commentary. What a joke.

I said the midfield wasn’t good enough last season. Thiago is made of biscuit and then you’re relying on Henderson, Fab and Milner for creativity Keita is hit and miss. Bobby should have gone before the season started. This team needs a tactical redress
