very odd game. Pep just didn’t alter his tactics to stop Newcastle from getting in down the sides.

He's lucky he's got so many talented players because Pep tends to throw his hands in the air and sulk whenever things aren't going his way.

Pep and Klopp are both great managers but the one advantage of Klopp is his never-say-die attitude.

Well, he says "die" when speaking German, but it means something else in German so that's OK.

We say this but how many times have we seen klopp stood on a sideline in silence when plan a ain't working at all.

It's not often granted but we have had this conversations many times.about plan b.

Guardiola is a bad loser, the resources to splurge 100mil on bang average grealish makes it hard to compete but we give it a good go, we are just about the only ones making him look a giant bell end (bar he does daily with that back turtle neck like Steve jobs)

Oh so no forwards at all.

Can you let the deluded sorts on the season not over thread that this is a disaster.

Bbc main sports news declaring that neither side have won a game this season, as though its December and not 2 games.

Something has to give in this game though, we need to start strong and demoralise them. Otherwise utd will eventually have a reaction one game soon, just hope not today

It's true of MU of course............we however,are unbeaten :emoticon-0178-rock:

It's all filler and context.

Lazy tropes etc.

I fully expect a tough game where the first goal will be huge.

We really can't letting their crowd get any encouragement and I'd hope the bad atmosphere from protests prevents them wanting to do anything but get on their players backs.

An early goal for us would be vital imo.

If we let them score first and the crowd have something to get behind it's pretty much worst case.

Do find it funny sky have an article about can united really win this game?! As if it would be some kind of fa chi shock where non league side have beaten a prem side.

this is united, at home. Their squad prob cost more than ours. And we aren’t in particularly good form plus have a **** tonne of injuries.

Im not sure they really should be made out to be as much of underdogs as they currently are in some places.

Lazy journalism - par for the course really.

We will concede the first goal. It's what we do... And it rarely means game over. We just always concede first half and then use the second half to try and take back some points.

Apparently Utd's net spend over the past 10 years is £700m more than ours

Amusing... But to be fair, they've probably earned that much more too with the plastic faithful. Although, I did read that here in the US, Liverpool has now overtaken United as most supported team. I'm sure that's happening in a lot of other foreign countries too, so we could be soon be getting more money than them from foreign plastics.

The worst kind of shock.

There's a lot of negativity around the club, but football is fickle and it may not take much to get them going. This is a big game, so they'll presumably be up for it. If we can get an early goal and subdue them then their confidence is fragile and hopefully they'll beaten. But if we let them get in the game, get the crowd behind them and have some Wind in their sails, then they can hurt us. Especially as we're hardly on a roll ourselves at the moment.

Got a feeling we'll draw 1-1 or 0-0.

Yeah, better liverpool sides than the XI we pick tonight have failed to win at OT. Perhaps not with utd as weak at this, but they've not been far above their current level in recent years.

My worry is that we're rushing Firmino back through necessity. Hopefully he is fully fit but either way I'm expecting another game where we don't make it easy for ourselves.
