Had tears in my eyes hearing that poor Chelsea had to travel by road to Leeds. Imagine in the old days when teams travelled y coach on Christmas Day and the return match next day with a third a few days later. Mostly by coach! Men were men in those days! (Their wives probably got ticked off!?

Plenty of rumours circulating that Rodgers is getting the sack

"Come to Leicester! We've got a budget of £0, injury problems and we're selling our best players!"

Man Utd v Liverpool. Who do we want to win and which is more likely?

Despite Pool's slow start, can't help but feel they're gonna absolutely gub Utd.

But whenever I get that feeling I'm often completely wrong and therefore Utd to win 5-1. Wouldn't be surprised if Slabhead, Frodo, McTominay, Fred and Sancho are the scorers too.

Clearly this is unfair. The Chelsea "fans" should start a petition demanding the game be replayed on a day when they can arrive by their chosen form of transport.

It wasn't much before the arrival of Conte that some on here were holding up the excellent example of how Leicester did things. Anyone like to admit they were one of them?

Only the coaching staff travelled by road, the players went on a plane!

Me, they won the Prem and FA cup and their transfer and youth policy pissed all over ours ,but I think we are starting to see the aftermath of the death of their chairman and the financial consequences, also we see the usual Rogers breakdown which is early in the season and a follow on from last season

Losing out on a near certain top place in 2020 on the last day of the season (think they were 10 clear of 5th place with just 10 games to go) was hidden (and excused) by Covid.

Losing out in a similar fashion the following season (they lost a 6 or 7 point lead over 5th place) by losing 2-4 to a poor spurs team at home on the last day, after being 2-1 up with just 10 minutes to go was hidden by them winning the FA Cup.

Winning the cup was a great achievement, however, the loss of CL money meant they couldn't deepen their squad and last season they were unable to cope with any of their injuries and used injuries to hide behind to deflect from a poor season.

Rodgers and the team looked devasted after that loss to us on that last day (a week after they won the fa cup) and imho they never recovered.

For me, Rodgers has an arrogance that gets out of control. This has cost Liverpool and Leicester big time. Like I said, winning the fa cup was a great achievement but missing out at the death for top 4 two seasons running, after being in total control with just a few games left is down to him.
Never wanted him and glad we never got him.

    Completely agree.

There’s a lot to have been envious about Leicester over the last 5-6 years. Take out the fantastic success of a League, FA Cup and Community Shield and there’s a side that’s played some of the best football in recent years, enjoyed a couple decent European runs and are a club that’s done some of the best transfer business, both ins and outs, albeit the ins have proven costly eventually. Late failures in the league to cement top four finishes is the only thing that’s prevented them from maintaining their fight against the big six. They’re the only team so far that’s caused the Prem’s big boys continuous issues years and realistically no one else is going to do so apart from Toon with their new wealth - which is essentially a cheat code to eventual success.

I cannot admit to being something I am/was not.

I have said that Lesta and the Spanners have dome well
over the Corona chaos while some of the usual suspects wobbled.
Now that time has gone, the opportunity has passed.

For Lesta in particular, the fact that their decent scouting +
youth regime has not paid dividends (ie CL places) in the
above time, is IMHO solely down to Brenton.

Now he is in the final phase of what seems to be a recurring
PL pattern for him (start of 4th season of tenure, team is playing
badly, gets the boot not long after) .

Their scouting team absolutely deserve credit, as they've been identifying gems that so many teams overlook and made massive profits off them so they can keep enhancing their team

Rodgers, on the other hand? Never been a fan as he's always come across as a manager who thinks the world owes him something, which makes him a great fit for Liverpool or Leicester given that's a reasonable description of their respective fanbases, and the fact that his teams have a track record of tailing off with 8-10 games to go is pretty hard to ignore
