Looking like a long afternoon for Newcastle.
Credit them for trying to go toe to toe with City, but the likely outcome is that they’ll be ripped to shreds.
It's still the best decision for a lot of teams.
Yes, you risk a battering, but the alternative is a slow, dull death by attrition.
You might get lucky and nick a win by playing like this.

City’s defenders are excellent technical players but all of them are pretty **** defensively. Probably not used to actually having to defend. Go at them and you’ll get goals, problem for many though is actually being able to get at them.

Their keeper's also great on the ball, but rather rash and makes questionable decisions.
Just ran out into the middle of nowhere and got saved by his defender.

Telling you, these City defenders aren’t good defensively. Go at them and they’re clueless. They can pass and dribble better than most midfielders but they really do struggle defensively when up against it.
I don't think they're getting a lot of protection from the midfield.
Rodri and Gundogan are covering the middle, but Silva and Foden aren't doing it on the wings.
Saint-Maximin and Almiron are taking advantage and getting free runs into the centre.

Bayern 4-0 up at Bochum before half-time. Sane, De Ligt, Coman and Mane with the goals.
Less than 3 games in, they've scored 12 goals and had 9 goalscorers.

Totally agree. Since Kompany left they haven't looked the same. His leadership and experience marshalled the whole back line, and they haven't really replaced that.

Burnley have changed due to his presence, too.
3-3 vs Blackpool yesterday and they had 71% possession.
3-1 up after half an hour though, so he'll be fuming.

3-1. Trippier with what's becoming a trademark. Glad we had Kane taking ours when he was with us...
