Another very sloppy half, once again we are outnumbered in midfield and can't cope. Sonny in wretched form needs a kick up the arse.
Shocking, shocking first half from us.
Son’s been diabolical so far this season. Emerson just cannot attack. Dier needs to realise he’s not Alderweireld. Midfielders need to be more progressive.

Best thing about that half is that we aren’t losing. Defence has been ok but midfield and forwards almost non existent. We have to take either Son or Kulu off and put Bissouma into midfield. I would sub royal for Doherty, kulu for Bissouma and possibly even Son for richarlison
and players who can accurately pass to them at weight.
Given the majority of the Spurs back line + MF cannot
repeatedly do either, then the former is moot.
And would be 5 more points than we got from the same games last season!On the plus side, a point takes Spurs 3rd (for now)
Lucas for Emerson for me.
Doherty for Emerson is like switching between a slap in the face to a kick up the bum.
Richarlison for Son and Bissouma for Hojbjerg are the other two I’d make.
We were trying to pass through their midfield for most of that half but the forward balls were nearly all too strong. Then later we started to try to pass through on the left and starting creating stuff. Bentancur not having a good game.
Every player except Perisic wants 3 or 4 touches of the ball.
We ain't pushing as a unit so they are happy playing out from the back and are first to most second balls.

I agree with most of this but really feel we need to match them up in midfield. Think it will be much the same until we do

I don’t think the numbers in midfield are what’s the issue for us to be honest, it’s that our two at the moment just aren’t playing enough accurate forward passes and with Hojbjerg on a yellow we need to be careful. If Bissouma could come on and make one or two forward runs/ through balls I think Kane and co will punish them. Or just get someone finding Perisic more, his crossing is phenomenal.
Son is awful, needs to come off.
