Newcastle and West Ham are watching events at United closely, they are both interested in Scotland international Scott McTominay, 25, as they believe he is the most likely midfielder to be pushed aside with the arrival of Casemiro. (90min) Chelsea have made enquiries about the availability of Manchester United and England defender Harry Maguire, 29, for a potential swap deal which would see US forward Christian Pulisic, 23, go the other way. (Mail) Chelsea obviously don't have a high opinion of Pulisic
Surely James Garner at £15m is a no brainier?? Obviously he’s more likely just going to be Forests 35th signing of the summer, but still. So no movement today or tomorrow then it’s a bank holiday weekend coming up. Going to have to be a lot of work in preparing and failing bids if we’re actually going to sign anyone. And is the business concludes with nothing more than a Watford sub, I can’t say I’ll be delighted.
Looking at Man U, have to say am happy with how we are going about the transfer market. Walk away if the deal is being overpriced/being sure of the type of player we want over names... And patience... People forget only 7 months ago most of us were talking about a squad rebuild in the championship... Now people are getting angry because we haven't signed Paqueta
60 - 70m for a 30 yr old , madness Manure have no direction, I hope CR stays McTominay is rubbish, another example of lazy journalism, he’ll end up at West Ham Maguire? What a joke story that is, why would any club look at him
Casemiro is helped a ridiculous amount by having Modric and Kroos next to him. He's going to have a hilarious reality check when he plays with a clown like Fred and has Ronaldo pouting with a face like a slapped arse in front of him.
Is this a serious question? TKO = technical knock-out Typically when the ref stops the fight (or a fighter's corner throw the towel in) to prevent serious damage if a fighter is not in a state to defend himself/fight back. DQ = disqualified. Typically for a serious breach of rules - either repeatedly despite warnings, or for thingd like a nasty low blow, head-butting, hitting after the bell, or biting your opponents ear off.
Why the hell would Chelsea want to swap Pulisic for Maguire? I mean they do realise we still have Lascelles right? We could swap those two instead, plus swap Murphy for either CHO or Gallgager. I'm sure Chelsea would be happy to go for that deal.
Was just thinking on this today, prompted by a comment earlier about being "content with our approach" in this window: - Ekitike - Maddison - Harrison - Pedro - Isak I feel like I've missed some as well. Has any other club this Summer had this level of failure in attracting their top targets? City, Spurs, Arsenal, Forest, Wolves have just gone in and got the players they want. Sure, the first three have CL football, but comparatively Wolves and Forest seem to be miles ahead - but why? We're a big, wealthy club with decent players and an aspiring manager, why are we making such a ****ing pigs ear of signing new players?
Personally speaking, I'm annoyed that we STILL have Mike Ashley's front line, a useless lump of **** as reserve CF, dreadful players in reserve like Murphy, and a huge reliance on ASM and Almiron, two of the lowest xG forwards in the division. I'd have been pissed off if we still had this ****e under Ashley so for owners talking of challenging - and of course, we will, and of course there's patience needed - this particular singular aspect of going into a PL season with Wood, Murphy, Almiron, Fraser getting game time is irksome. It would be under Ashley so looking back and saying "at least we're not THERE" isn't relevant.
Don’t understand why you would be pissed off with them when they have turned us into one of the top 4 teams of the last 7months.
Because they showed, once again (vs Brighton), how impotent they tend to be in attack and it's frustrating. I don't believe we can carry that form on and believe we need to improve in attacking areas. I would believe that under Ashley, just as I believe it under the new ownership.
The Manc means Newcastle when he said "us".. Just a slip of the glory hunter tongue. But otrherwise he's perfectly correct especially as the window hasn't even shut yet.
