Not really. It's common for clubs to let players speak to other clubs whilst they're negotiating with the buying club.

It can benefit the selling club, tbh.
I guess as long as the selling club have given them permission, its ok, otherwise its tapping up.
I wonder how Arsenal fans will feel if Auba signs for Chelsea, not great I suppose.

They'll pretend they don't care by saying he was no good to them and getting rid of him is the best thing they've done.

Forest spending £44.5m on Morgan Gibbs-White?!?!?
WTF? That'll bring their spending this summer to over £150m! That is a lot of money for a newly promoted team to spend. They better hope they stay up!

Also I wouldnt spend any more than £20-25m for Gibbs-White, tops.
He did alright in the Championship last season, but £44.5m is an insane price. Its only 7 million less than City paid for Haaland <laugh>

Aren't they owned by that morbidly obese Greek fella?

Everton dropped out at £20m I believe. Good. But not at that price.

I agree.
He only has a handful of PL appearances and was pretty "Meh".
He looked good in the Championship and has room to improve but spending £44.5m on a player who has only ever shone at second level football is nuts.

I don't care... he was no good to us and getting rid of him is the best thing we've done.

But on a more serious note. Genuinely ambivalent. Not like he was an arsenal legend where this would sting like RVP. And not like he'd get in our own team now so we'd be jealous (again, best example being RVP). And it's not like he's a great guy where I'd wish him the best (Leno) or an absolute knobber where I'd hope he he crashes and burns (Guendouzi). Genuinely just a bit meh.

He'll probably get double digit goals for you which will tail off in a year or two as his pace completely disappears.

Double post meltdown. You are bothered.

Finished the last two episodes last night of Arsenal's All or Nothing.

Not sure if it's me being a Spurs fan but found it dull and monotonous. All or Nothings are usually pretty decent.

Few snippets I took away:

Arteta is a weird ****. Some proper unorthodox and eccentric team talks. Don’t think he’d be able to manage a team of big players.
Saka comes across a really good bloke, a shame he's a gooner as otherwise I'd have a lot of time for him, likewise Martinelli.
Holding, Nketiah and Elneny are solid professionals and good team guys even if ****e players.
Smith Rowe talks like an absolute divkid, must have been dropped on the head a few times. He's lucky he's a footballer because otherwise he'd definitely be signing on.
