1) Any age can and do get the flu. And any age can pass it on to those at risk. People do die of the flu every year.

2) Exactly and health care workers are people too and don't want to get sick and deserve to be protected.

3) Yes, sick people, pregnant people, people with broken bones, people with wellness checks, people getting x rays or MRIs. They could all catch the flu.

4) Vaccinations aren't just for you, they're for the community and those immuno compromised. Getting vaccinated is the non-jackass thing to do. My youngest, for example, can't get the flu shot because she has a reaction to it. It helps for me not to bring the flu home to her.

I didn't have the flu jab for about 20 years. Until my Mrs had cancer and was about to go into hospital for her chemo. And that was because I was worried ****less that if I got it while she was neutropenic I would not only risk her life but also her treatment as she wouldn't be able to continue with it if her immune system was affected.

A couple of reasons why I hadn't in those years prior was because I think many ppl mistake a bad cold with the flu. When you have the flu you are utterly fcked, incapable of doing much else other than being bedridden. And secondly and probably more importantly because of the fact that having flu jabs regularly reduces your immunity to variants of the flu which tends to be cyclical variants originating from the far east.

That's actually a myth. There have been plenty of studies showing that the opposite occurs. Getting flu shots trains your body how to fight off each years variants. There is a time factor though. The longer it has been since your body has been exposed to a strain (by vaccine or catching it) the longer it takes your body to ramp up production to fight it.

Flu shot is, surprisingly, on average only about 50% effective at preventing you catching the flu virus if exposed (but it means if you catch it you'll suffer a LOT less, just doesn't mean you'll avoid it)... But if everyone in the community has a shot, that 50% chance of catching actually adds up to more than 50%.
(If everyone you know are half as likely to get it, and everyone they know is half as likely to get it... It would lower your chance of getting it exponentially).

Unfortunately, not everyone gets the jab and act as reservoirs.

You can put your last penny on this man being the next POTUS. Unbelievable.

Voters in the US state of Wyoming have ousted congresswoman Liz Cheney, a rare Republican critic of former President Donald Trump, in a primary election.

She has been trounced by a relative political newcomer and Trump-backed candidate, Harriet Hageman.

Ms Cheney was one of only two members of her party to join the congressional committee investigating Mr Trump's attempts to cling to power.

The three-term congresswoman was once a rising Republican star.

All 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Mr Trump after his supporters attacked the US Capitol building in January last year have been targeted in a scorched-earth campaign of revenge.

So far, four have retired, and now four have been defeated by his chosen candidates in primary ballots in the states of Wyoming Washington, Michigan and South Carolina.

Only two have successfully maintained their places on the Republican ticket for re-election.

The daughter of ex-Vice-President Dick Cheney, Ms Cheney was the last of the 10 to face the Trumpian assault.

https://www.health.harvard.edu/diseases-and-conditions/can-the-flu-shot-hurt-my-immune-response#:~:text=They found that getting an,than those vaccinated only once.

My daughter's are both vaxxed and neither has the slightest bother with them. I'll take them for a vaccine every six months if our scientists recommended it.

remeber, Right said Fred said he wouldn’t get vaxxed. Then he ended up falling down the stairs and catching it on the bottom step.
But for Fred, these is also a famous anti vaxx doc who said only homosexuals would catch Aids. So he picks his right wing views very well for his lifestyle choices.
