I mentioned in another thread there were players in our squad with nationalities I don't recall having represented us before. So I did a bit of a trawl.
We now have players with allegiances to:

    England
    Wales
    Antigua and barbuda
    Republic of Ireland
    Nigeria
    Cote d’Ivoire
    Gambia
    St Kitts and Nevis
    Northern Ireland

Funnily enough, no Scottish representation which is unusual, though the other home nations and Eire are represented. Several new to us in my experience, though others may know better.
All are welcome and doing us proud so far.
I wonder if international duty will impact on their appearances for us?

    Good analysis Remote.

At least 3 of those won't be troubling us to take players very often.

    Interesting thread remote.

The Africa Cup of Nations has already taken place for 2022 and the 2023 competition is at least postponed if not cancelled according to reports. World Cup and European qualifiers seem to to take place at uniform times and domestic leagues are on hold for those anyway.
On that limited and only partly informed appraisal, there shouldn't be that much impact.

If course, the risk of injury when away playing for their countries, is never changing. The more internationals you have, the greater the risk. But that shouldn't stop us recruiting.

Interesting that other than Ireland, there are no other European countries represented.

Us having brexited has been mooted regarding difficulties recruiting in Europe.
And us being in FAW makes signing loanees difficult due to restrictions around 'foreign' loans.

Also, can't have been many seasons we've not had a Scot in the squad.

Could be handy if we ever play Derby again.
