Call off the dogs. It’s just a figure of speech. You guys are so precious
If you don’t want people discussing and potentially disagreeing with the posts you make on a public forum then I’m not sure what to tell you.

Anti-ralph isn't allowed on here, that's all it is :emoticon-0148-yes:
Getting the knives out before the game even starts isn’t particularly helpful though. Especially given the line up contains two players people thought really should have been in last week - ABK and Che. To me, based on the players available, there is one questionable call - Ely for Aribo. And yet the knives are out and being sharpened

No, it's just tiring when anything anti-ralph is posted, no matter how valid or not, the same few forum members swarm in like seagulls on chips.
But this is, after all, a forum where the whole point is to discuss issues. People are allowed to disagree, as long as it doesn’t get personal.

But are we really in the phase where one questionable pick in the side is worth getting upset about? If we are then fine but it isn’t really a world that I consider particularly fun

And the rabid anti-Ralph sentiment is just and frustrating to some posters as the you find the pro-Ralph defences. At this stage is isn’t helpful - after one game of the season. He is highly unlikely to be sacked after two games unless we get absolutely hammered today. So it seems a bit much to me

Which likely also explains why Elyounoussi is starting over Aribo. Who very much suits high tempo play.
Joe Aribo should fare better in the heat than Elyonoussi though?!

In all seriousness not the team I would pick but nice to see ABK get a start. And I’m happy Adams is starting.

But I don’t think we will be playing the ideal tempo for him

I guess the theory is Ely is better at retaining the ball? I’m not sure I agree but the knives would really be out if it was Romeu instead at home

I expect we want Aribo to run at a more tired team. And to put all his energy into circa 30 minutes rather than 60+

Whether it is the right decision or not - who knows. We will find out

We desperately need to bring in a full back or two!! We have one and half today in the entire match squad.

Out of interest what team would you have liked? Many changes from this? I think many would have preferred a back 4 at home…

Pretty much EVERYBODY has expressed concerns regarding Ralph recently. Once again this utterly nuts concept that “you can’t say anything against Ralph here” - which flies against any evidence of the past few weeks. I mean, it really is a classic “your feelings aren’t actually facts” situation.

Absolutely. Amazed it hasn’t been prioritised given the fitness concerns for all of pre season. But I guess the issue is bringing in someone on a loan who know a they are unlikely to be a guaranteed starter

There’s quite literally a poll on the first page of the forum where roughly a third of the forum says they want Ralph out too. <laugh>

Plenty of opportunity at full back for us though even if not a starter, particularly with Perraud struggling to return from injury and no other cover for either side other than players playing out of position. Plus the 5 sub rule and the fact that Ralph likes his full backs to do a lot of running means anyone we bring in would likely get a decent amount of playing time. Hopefully we can find a player that can play both sides!

Despite my feelings about Ralph and the club in general, I really do miss being a season ticket holder. Jealous of everyone there today.

It’s not one charge, it’s 3 CB’s and Djenepo at wing back.

Nothing that’s said on here is helpful or unhelpful, the mood of the forum is reflecting the mood of the fans. Right now people feel pessimistic and defeated before the game, and you can see why. Ralph will get stick until he turns it around, I think it’s something ‘rinners’ need to accept. Just like ‘routers’ have to accept he won’t be sacked in the immediate future.

If the doom mongerers are getting you down then try drowning them out with some optimism?

I’ll start:

Im looking forward to seeing JWP and Lavia.
ABK is going to take command of the defence.
Che is going to bang in a hat trick.

Saints 3-2 Leeds
