I think Rishi has adapted his words better than Truss, but the only person that has come anywhere near the mark at the moment, is not even a current sitting MP, Gordon Brown said similar to my thoughts either yesterday or sometime within the last week. I was hoping Starmer would take this on board, but having a brief read through twitter today, Starmer's account is no where near the mark of Brown. I just don't get why any politician of any side don't get it, when you have people like GB pointing out the bleeding obvious to them. See this is the sort of thing that would sway my voting but when both parties are nowt more then dead ducks in the water, I just think we are well and truly shafted.

We've been left with the choice of two completely inept Prime Ministers, with Rishi looking like the better choice just because of how batshit stupid Truss really is. Boris was a charlatan with no morals and no convictions of his own, only interested in keeping power. At least that meant he tried to throw enough bones our way to keep himself there though. I'm sure someone on here used to bang on about being careful what we wished for in getting Boris thrown out!

Also, doing what GB suggests would show some real ****ing balls.

Sometimes companies need to be reminded that in the end, the Gov is ultimately more powerful.

We need to go complete totaltarian on the energy companies, cut off their financial life blood, then shut down the big bosses bank accounts, go full tonto, and say to them, you now try surviving on nothing. I'd be surprised if this don't lead to some sort of civil unrest, because the energy comapnies are just holding UK citizens to ransom, it needs kicking in the balls and hard.

We are a woke people deep in our souls and it's a national disgrace that Ireland beat us to the post for an Indian descent Prime Minister.

Especially after our resounding victories in both the female and Jewish fronts.

He may have turned out to be a complete joke over there, but I'm sure ours will be a lot different.

You pissed or something

You pissed or something

I love how when you say something to Aber, he pokes around the place like a pissed up old fart; doing absolutely everything in his power to try and cause a rise with his little 12 year old shots. <laugh>

So, tell me more about Saffs belief that you're a lunatic.

I had a chat with the young lad next door. We got on to unions and he said his work have a union but he hasn't joined it yet. I told him that whatever benefits the complainers get he will get too if he's doing the same job, so he doesn't need to join the union.

Save money. Don't upset superiors.

Solid advice.

Lets hope he never has to put it to the test.

If Gordon Brown was leader of the Labour party, he'd be getting absolutely pilloried by the media for the (perfectly correct) suggestions he's making right now. <laugh>

Much like Corbyn who suggested the same 3 years ago. And enough of the public would be turning on him the same way and calling him mad or whatever.

Watching news channels with various journalists standing in the middle of reservoirs with someone telling them they would normally be standing underwater right now....whilst stood next to a puddle.

Bewl Water in Kent looked particularly stark.

They make me laugh, they had one reporter in Koblenz, Germany showing the drought, however, as I've been to Koblenz I remember the past floods and the floods in Koblenz last summer, I kid you not...

I've never even said that. I tell him he can't handle his weed and it's messed his head up.

I guess this just confirms what I've been saying.

I don't even remember the cable cars being there, shows how oberservant I was on my visit. Think I was more interested in getting to a near-by restaurant for some lunch and a few beers. Couple of tourist things at that point, including three sections of the old berlin wall, and this statue which had to be replaced after being bombed in the war... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsches_Eck

I just took a second look at that and spotted the changes. The light grey bits I'm assuming.

Yeah guess so, plus that picture is a bit deceiving, because it's taken from a high angle, whereas there is a wall that surrounds it, to give you some perspective of the size of it below. Think I'm right in saying, go the right side of it you are on the Rhine, go the left side you got the Mosel, some nice river spots for food and drink up on the Mosel or is it spelt Moselle, fook knows....
