According to this fantasist blogger, QPR could go global.

QPR and the global game

QPR, then, for so long banished to the English game's lower reaches, now have the opportunity to perform on a truly global stage for the first time. If this opportunity can be sustained for longer than a single season back in the top flight, and if the club continues to be well run by Tony Fernandes and Amit Bhatia, perhaps we will see Queens Park Rangers opening up significant revenue streams from overseas. :emoticon-0175-drunk:emoticon-0175-drunk:emoticon-0175-drunk :-D:-D:-D:-D:-D

Here the delusion gets more hilarious. He is even worried about the potential ramifications of 'going global':

'Will a wide variety of foreign fans be saying stuff like this (I started supporting rangers 23/10/11) about QPR one day? It's a strange thought. With progress comes change. But will we like all the changes? :-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D

Absolutely hilarious; try selling out R Block and the Loft for your Cup final; and then worry about the ramification of 'going global'.

Why HammersmithBlue, why? <doh>

I'd suggests threads like this you put on the Chelsea board this way it won't incite QPR members. I know you like banter (So Do I) but these things can get lost in translation on the internet <ok>

There's a serious point here. Imo, the smaller and less fashionable the club, the more genuine the fans. Even before the penalty, the Chelsea fans at LR recently had as much raw energy as a vicar's wife watching a chess competition. Fulham fans were the same until after their fourth goal. If Tony and Amit take us to bigger things, are these the kind of fans we'll import? How do we become a bigger, more successful club and keep the same atmosphere in our ground as, say, Man City have?

I wonder how many QPR shirts would be sold in Malaysia, just because of the Tony Fernandes connection?

And that is the whole point!

Beckham is a global brand....wherever he plays, the shirts fly out of the window. ManUre and Chelscum have supporters all over the world because of the global marketing of the Premier League.

Whether HB likes it or not, a second AND subsequent seasons would see us go global. We'd become a well followed team throughout Asia because of the afore-mentioned connections.

How many italian Chelscum fans are there because of Vialli and Zola? Dutch because of Gullit and Hasselboink? (Sic) This is what football has come to mean, these days, and if you cannot see that as a future for ANY promoted team, then you have very poor eyesight.
