It is not the supply which is in question. We didn't create much on Saturday but still missed 2 gilt edged chances. All too often this season we have done this. Resulting in the poor goal difference.

Having said that a new midfielder would not go amiss but someone a bit younger.
 
The supply is an issue, yes the ball does get up to the forwards but it often comes in the form of a long ball or a cross (or even a long ball to a winger). I admit it is not the only problem, but when Morgan is so closely marked and his run-off blocked by a defender then the goalkeeper/defence need to change tactics. It is definitely up there with the quality of finishing that happens. Saturdays game we counted Wright have five shots on goals, yes he was having them and others weren't, but each of those five shots all went off to the left of the post.
 
with gold @ £1300 an ounce these are expensive gilt edge misses. let us hope morgan spends his suspension practising gilt edge chances

Supply only becomes an issue if we don't create chances. We are doing this and are much too profligate with the chances. Saturday would have been oh so different if Wright had not put the first of his chances wide of the RIGHT HAND POST.

Wimbledon primarily came for a point and this would have opened up the game completely had we scored early on.

Surely supply comes from all directions. Doesn't wing supply count? Wright and Ainsworth have supplied loads this season and only a small percentage have been taken.
 
Perhaps I was wrong on which side Wrighty missed the first one, we only started taking a direct notice of them on his second miss! I'd agree that Ainsworth (to a larger degree) and Wright have provided the wing support, and Wright has bagged some good goals on his side too. I will also point out that Morgan has missed some great chances at heading in the ball form one of their crosses, Morgan has also managed on at least two, possibly more, occasions to be a couple of metres out and knock the ball over the bar! Shots 'on target' need to come from a range of positions though and Wroe and McAllister need to make some more inroads in this area, alongside the need for balls being passed through defence for the attackers by the CM when the opportunities arise.
 
The way we play with 2 wide men essentially means that the central midfield has to be holding, therefore are more unlikely to get into goal scoring positions. If we played a rigid 4-3-3 instead of a fluid 4-4-2/4-2-4, you would expect a more creative/goalscoring outlook by one of the midfielders.

In a sense, I am happy with the way we play at the moment and, despite the flack that Wright sometimes gets, I have been impressed by his covering play this season. I think Morgan is great but he was always going to miss a lot and therein lies the main problem this season. He is not the only culprit, but the main one.
