Can’t blame wigan for wanting him, nor him wanting to go there, nor Everton wanting to send him there. If Everton have decided to loan because they can’t find somebody to pay the fee they want, then both he and Everton will want him to have a full season playing every game. They’ll have seen Simms and Stewart play like they did and realised he’s third choice immediately. Wigan have got some decent strikers but he’s more likely to start there.
If Broadhead is going out on loan I think it will be Wigan as we have Simms from Everton already, one of them is going to get less game time because of the other if he comes. I think the lads daft signing a new contract with them. He is never going to get into the first team there and clearly needs a new permanent club to progress his career. I'd like us to sign him but he isn't as important as he was before I saw Simms yesterday!
After being at SAFC last season, I'd be ****ing devastated to go to Wigan if I was Broadhead. Would rather work on the tills at Lidl
So do Wigan follow Speakman round in a car and let us do all the hard work - they love a Sunderland cast off (and I know Broadhead was not officially Sunderland)
Can’t agree there. He’s a completely different player to Simms and Stewart. And can play a deeper 10 role too and run off. Think the 3 of them, if Broadhead stayed fit, would be excellent to have here. Certainly not third choice based on one game
It’s incredibly unlikely all 3 would start a single game. Possible but unlikely. and I’m not saying he’d always be third choice. I’m saying Everton want to guarantee him starting games and he’s very clearly not guaranteed that here, as much as he’d be a brilliant option for us.
Wigan all ready got 5 strikers in Wyke, Lang, Magennis, Humphrys, Keane why they want another strange
aye just checked...if he gets 'guaranteed' game time there i think we will see a fair few unhappy players.
Wyke will definitely be gone on loan to league one by end august for a start. Can’t comment on others
