This weekend is the start of the season, not the end of the transfer window Fosse. Of course if they are available and fit to play they will, but I think it’s a little premature to suggest that’s the door firmly closed on them leaving.

There is an article today where Brenda shares what Maddison and Fofana think about the speculation... they are flattered ... but also aware that the club is not going to sell them ... Express ... that'll do for me <cheers>

Very funny reading some of this ... you girls lap up the rumours and speculation from paps, agents sand 'experts'... but think anything from Brenda or the club is meaningless or without substance... <laugh>

Brendan basically said the story is true and the players want to go Fosse.

How can he have the attention span to defend his club this religiously throughout every day

Not quite ... old enough to have seen enough press' 'exclusives' to realise how the machine tends to work ... 'sources close to the club' are the most ridiculous of all ...

Our situation is simple we don't HAVE to sell anyone ... some simpletons think we need to sell to survive ... we don't ... but we do have to sell to bring new players in ... not just for financials but also because we have more first teamers than we can fit in a Prem League squad numbers wise ..

... but you don't sell the players that you are planning to build the team around going forward.

Of course other clubs are gonna want them ... these are top players and Newcastle, in particular, need a marquee signing to be able to help attract much better players than what they have managed so far ...
