Agreed. I get so annoyed at the twitterati who are saying he’s on borrowed time. They live in the past and constantly go on about the poor form at the end of the season. Good form or bad form - it means nothing going into a new season. And then you have to factor in all the team and back room changes so it means even less.
Bazunu, Walker-Peters, Bella-Kotchap, Bednarek, Salisu, Perraud, Lavia, Ward-Prowse, S.Armstrong, Aribo, Mara. 6-2 Saints.
Perraud is injured I think. I’d move Kyle to the left, Prowsie to the right, you do the hippy shake shake with all of your might. And Romeu with Lavia in the middle. 7-2 Saints.
TIOON7, is 'Is there a match today', one of those Mensa-type word puzzles? The sort that requires you to make a meaningful sentence by rearranging words? I'm going with : 'Today, a match there is'. Very Yoda. How about: 'It will be a game of two halves'? Or: 'Yes! Prowsie makes it 3-0!!!!!!!!!!!!' I'm on a pre-season high, before 7:30 in the morning. Give it time.
Yeah as long as we don't get completely dicked and actually try and compete then I'll be happy. If I'm honest the result means very little to me on most away games these days. Just want to enjoy myself, have a sing song and hopefully get a goal to celebrate. Oh and call the ref a ****er
So we disregard pre-season friendlies when something negative happens, but pay attention when it's something positive? Not for me. Friendlies are just about fitness. We know what Djenepo offers on the left, and we know what KWP offers. This is not a friendly, this is the toughest league in the world, and one chink in the armour can make all the difference. JWP on the right is much more solid than Djenepo on the left, plus it allows a place for Lavia in the team.
Lavia is going to start anyway I think. And Djenepo is actually a better defender than people realise.
