Not even got his own Wiki page yet. Hope that changes while with us.

A little older than the main Under 21 group but will add experience there. Apparently impressed as a trialist.

Will be tough to break into the senior aquad with the numbers in midfield but if he works hard and shows his abilities he could be a future diamond.

Overall we now have a much bigger squad than previously with a much lower average wage. Morison and his team have worked hard over the summer to put together his squad. Could be a very positive time ahead.

Purse has said we've got a very young development squad that needs some more experience injected.

The more I read and hear, the more I'm encouraged that the infrastructure at the club is being overhauled for the better.

So long as we dont have any major changes in direction I think this has been among the better 12 months we've had as a club.
No big contracts, no speculative punts, no longer a disconnect between the development squad and the senior squad. Everything being aligned.
A few years later than it needed to be addressed, but its being addressed.<applause>

Might be a few years before we reap the full benefits, but we're already seeing shoots appear.:emoticon-0141-whew:

Maybe its a topic that shouldn't be on a Transfer Rumours thread.
You’re right but as it is I’m just posting this for information & not to pass comment as I’ve already done so

Usual compilation of the good stuff here. Seem to recall seeing one of these for Madine & Watters<doh>

Looks 2 footed, good turn of pace, eye for goal and aware of what's around him.

Seems to come deep and go wide in a lot of the clips.

As you say, there are a lot of players where 'highlight clips' look impressive.

To be fair, as said before, Morison and team appear to do their due diligence rather than get sold on highlights.
I'm learning to trust their judgement more than some of their predecessors.
Im sure they'll get one or two wrong, but they have quite a bit in the credit column so far. Early days, but the 'unknowns' they've signed look promising so far.

Couldn't agree more and it's great to have a manager that earns trust and respect. In the past, I've been guilty of trusting out of a sense of duty rather than confidence.

Just reading about Etete's time at Cheltenham.
Disrupted due to injury niggles.<doh>
Hope he's not another sick note.
Ankle and hip problems aparently.

I'm in severe danger of developing blind faith. To see my club taken by the scruff of the neck by a guy with a resolute vision and to produce radical change in style and embed the one club ethos, just makes me confident in what he does
Etete would not have been on my shopping list but SM has proved that he knows a lot more than not only me but other professionals too
£500,000 is not the scale of gamble that his predecessors went for and got wrong!
Anyway, another Bluebird to be welcomed.

Not sure where to start with this summer's recruitment.
Not many could have got 14 players through the door in a couple months AND shape a team from them.
Anything in the top half should be seen as success given all the changes.
Not sure Morison will set the bar that low though.

Just one more signing to make then.:emoticon-0137-clapp

Fair play he promised a huge turnover and has done that in record time.
Early days but a far cry from the nightmare of 5 centre backs and a midfield of Vaulks Pack and Bacuna <yikes>

And that back 5 v WBA?
Brown, McGuinness, Flint, Morrison & Nelson<whistle>

Not much better. Flint still in Championship, Brown Div 1, the other 3 still with us, of sorts, Morrison's No 4 shirt not allocated and no news on his future, I can see McGuinness going on loan and Nelson first back up player in the back 4. Should play tomorrow.

Not sure about McGuiness on loan.
Can imagine us going 3 at the back at some stage of the season.
With 2, possibly 3 CBs out and only 1 in (unless I've lost count with all the comings and goings), it would leave us a bit thin on the ground, especially if we get an injury or two, or any more susspensions.

Must get on the city website and study names and player profiles.
Homework to be done.

Just looking through the squad.
Quite a few players in there that have barely been mentioned yet.
Could be a while before some get on the bench, let alone any game time.
3 injured players to come into contention, then theres Tanner, Philogene, Denham, Bagan.

When have we had such depth, with us not being concerned about the quality down the pecking order.
I had a bit of a wobble mid-transfer window, but my glass has been half full for a couple weeks now.:smiley-finger007:

Still think the odds sparkey quoted with us finishing in the 2nd group of 6 is realistic. I'd be ok with that.
Until we win a couple more games and expectation ramps up a notch or two.:emoticon-0107-sweat

I still think Saturday will give us an indication of where we're at.
Playing a team we'd expect / hope to beat.
Norwich was a free hit. First game of the season, Norwich adjusting to life in the championship and us very much an unknown quantity.
It wont get easier as the weeks tick by.

Sang & Whyte came off the bench last week - will they go on loan?
Colwill & Davies still to feature.
Plus is Morison finished acquiring? There’s talk of another striker?

Must say this squad now looks a bit over inflated. Nice options to have and most of them should be pretty cheap to keep rather than loan.

However, Morison will settle for his preffered starting options shortly if he hasn't already. The bonus this season is 5 subs off the bench. He could change the whole front 5 during a game if he needed to and I don't think he'd be afraid to do that.

I don't necessarily like squad rotation for the sake of it, but the options are certainly there for every game.
