Both Watford lads seemed pretty decent (Sarr and Dennis). They’ll piss that league if they keep them.

Rumours about Barnes AND Maddison today. That would be some move.

They will sell all their best players (to us) and get relegated!

They must be in trouble if the rumours are to be believed with Maddison,Fofana,Tielemans,Barnes and Schmeichel all subject to transfer speculation.

The risk is another club will cough up for one of those other names whilst we're haggling and they will then opt to keep Maddison.

    Article from June -
    Leicester City [€311m]
The club now have a total debt of £267m, with £180m of that owed to King Power or the chairman. Could be a lot of those clubs who wanted certain rules forced upon us are now suffering from the repercussions of it...

Schmeichel seems to be done at £850k
Fofana - £85m suggest Chelsea fee
Maddison - £60m suggest NUFC fee
Tielmans - £30m suggest Arsenal (one year on contract)
Barnes - £50m Transfermarket valuation (£28.8m but always nearly double their fees)

£225m all together for the other 4 - doesn't quite cover their debts but I'd imagine there will be at least 2 of them on the move on top of Schmeichel possibly a third but Tielmans likely to be one of them as they need to cash in on him this year as h's out of contract next year and could lose him on a free in 6 months.

Tielemens makes no sense to keep. Contract has 1 year and he's not signing so the 20-25m they could get is worth more than he'll earn them. Schmeichel is 35 and has one year left. They both seem logically likely to go and I think that's all they need, anything else is a sell to buy situation. At most it would surely only be one other player you'd think.

The 180m doesn't matter in a similar way Ashley's didn't with us. It isn't so much the debt (Tottenham have much more debt than that and have spent plenty), it's the wages to turnover that's their issue. They need cash in if they want to buy and they really need to trim the wages.

Thought it may have to do with owner sponsorship figures. If Leicester have been boosting the books by sponsoring themselves they may need to get finances in order or are unable to continue with their current financial set up as is and reshaping their wage structure etc.

Also from March this year reporting on their finances from 2020-21 season (so over a year back now):
Net Debt has also risen from £178m to £236.8m, adding third party debt and bank loans to the component of owner debt.
Separately, the club is also under investigation from the Competitions and Markets Authority. This was due to suspected Competition law breaches which were not disclosed. No further information was provided.

If Chelsea get Fofana and that Brighton defender then they will have spent around £200m + wages on 4 players.....
How does that sit with FFP?

I still don't understand what Fofana has done to warrant an £85m transfer fee besides being good in the Fifa game. He's only played 7 times since breaking his leg a couple of years ago so Leicester should snap Chelsea's hand off if that mug Todd "Allahu Akbar" Boehly is willing to spend such an egregious sum on a player thats done far less in the game than other young French CB's like Saliba or Badiashile who'd be much cheaper.

So to use it in a sentence, I could say Lascelles is very egregious
