I think we'll go for a LB, RB, 2 CM and a Forward (Broadhead)

Sorry, I thought this was the transfer thread, not the Coventry match thread. My internet must be broken.

Broadhead is coming back, unless I’m misreading your post.

Maybe a slight change of plans
A slightly older and experienced striker and attacking midfielder
As opposed to the younger plans

Wouldn’t read too much in to that tbh. I bet every manager in the league is saying similar to the purse holders.

    Welcome Rusty
Not sure we need wingers myself, but two CM with strength one being left side would be nice. To many side last season exposed that as Coventry did yesterday

Gooch will be difficult to drop and AN seems to prefer him playing wing back and has plenty of back up Winchester and Hume.

Are you saying he is coming back?

I think he will be a good addition as his finishing and speed will bag him a few even if he only come.on for last 20 minutes most weeks.

Tom Rogic would be a cracking signing, he’s a free agent, not sure what wages he would command but he would offer something different in the middle of the park.

I am not often Gooch's biggest fan, but imho he had a decent game yesterday and WB may be his best position. He has to keep that form up mind...

It was Onions weak challenge in the first place that led to the equaliser...If an offer came in for him , I can see him leaving.

they murdered the No2 first half who then went on the whole of the second to run the show for Coventry. He was spare man everytime they attacked, or set up the attacks. Don't take my word just look at the replays.

Yeah, true. However, it's a tough one because if you catch someone on purpose, or by accident, in or outside the box, a foul/penalty is generally awarded.

Yet there's so many shirt pulls in the box from runs, or corners that go unpunished because the ref hasn't got ten pairs of eyes.

VAR would slow the game down so much if every single apeal was scrutinised from corners or runs into the box.

It seems that defenders from every team seem to be allowed to, to an extent, to hold, nip, shirt pull, or to push/obstruct in every single box set piece these days.

Yes it's a contact sport, but in most games, it's become a lottery for the officials to police tbf....it's insane at times man.

    Great takling points though mind...

I thought he was being fouled at an acceptably mild level and was going down too easily. There was maybe once or twice he should have got one that he didn't. Our lads were trying to rip shirts off backs and being too blatant with the other fouls.

Agree. He's the best option at that position at the minute. The two things he used to do all the time.....needless fouling and trying to beat his man 3 times before delivering a cross or a pass....seem to have been minimised under AN.
