Read today that Everton and Leicester both spent well over 80% of their income on wages in 2019.
To put this into perspective, a healthy figure is considered to be 61%. Spurs were reported spend 39% of their income on wages.
Everton and Leicester wages have both gone up yet they lost income due to covid closing grounds and Leicester have lost more this season due to no European football.
Suspect that's why both are have a poor window.

Maybe that's what Klopp meant when he said he didn't like the idea of having to play the charity shield this weekend, as he thought he had to load that side with first team players. Quite a few clubs have played double headers this weekend and mixed and matched their squads to give everyone nearly a full 90mins, while putting out equal strength sides.
Or more encouragingly, maybe it shows you are lacking in squad depth.
