A ref with an Alice band ffs
Thought the ref was fine, not including his hair. We were fouling them all game he didn't have much choice. O'Nien should have had a straight red but he was lenient.
I thought they were going down rather easily for big strong lads and there was one in the 2nd half where the linesman had a great view didn’t give it but the ref did from way behind the play
Probably did make a few errors but imo the reason he gave them so many free kicks is because we were fouling the crap out of them.
Well I thought a lot of them were soft fouls
Was right in front of me that, I was raging at the time haha
No need blame the ref, we were better team first half they came on strong second half. brought on triple subs and imo deserved the point.
I don't think he played badly, just one of those game that passed him by, where he never really got on the ball not sure if that was down to him or just the way the game panned out.
It was also plain to see the difference in quality compared to league one, much better football and a lot less scrappy, pity the quality of referee hasn't improved. I don't think I've actually see a more inconsistent referee, the amount of times Stewart was man handled and never won a free kick the twice ballard did it he was penalised both times
Big style they did and I’m not blaming the ref for not winning just pointed out he gave a lot of soft free kicks

Referee was awful. Bathh made a tackle in front of us first half and linesman started running up the pitch because the tackle was fine and ref pulled it back right on the edge of our box. There was a lot of soft fouls that if they to our way break up the game, but he allowed them to keep momentum.
Love the way they celebrated like a win though.
Think Ballard needs his hands in plaster so he can't keep holding shirts. He'll give away a load of penalties if he continues.
Agreed I thought he was good, stuggled to get on the ball in the 2nd half but so did everyone in our team.
We need 2 CMs for sure though, O'Nien is not a Championship player and I think Matete probably needs a loan move.

Exactly how I seen the ref. I was hoping this season would be a better standard but not the best start. Stewart didn't a single decision after being manhandled numerous times whereas their forwards got a load of decisons.
My biggest issue with the ref was then Batth was down injured and he allowed Coventry to play on. As soon as Roberts nicked it off them the whistle was blown.
Then the cheating bastards didn't return the ball.
