Vardy has lost her libel case, wonder how much that's cost her. When will they learn the only people that get anything out of this is the lawyers.
Apparently it will cost both parties £1 million in legal fees... before the court awards costs ... the winner will then still be some £300k out of pocket with maximum damages being £45k ... so a loss of a quarter of a million large ... stupid cows could have settled out of court but egos got in the way ...
I just don't get any of it, I wonder if they ever sit down and reflect afterwards, on what they could have done more productive with a million quid. I don't get why any social system in society accepts this sort of bollox - couldn't they have just both put on a pair of boxing gloves and sorted it out in a ring. Although she still would have lost would be my guess.
In Rooney's case about 10 days of his United wages and in Vardy's case around t weeks of his wages. Entitled arse beats a different entitled arse...and it's treated as major news by the media
Vardy will need to pay the vast majority of Rooney's legal fees. It's being estimated anything up to 3 million. That's got to sting considering she was begging her agent for a few quid for leaking a story about Drinkwater. She'll make it back talking about the court case
EFL returns this weekend and it all kicks off tonight with a fascinating Championship fixture. Huddersfield v Burnley KO 8pm. Vincent Kompany with a new look Burnley side will definitely be hard pressed to get off to a winning start but I'm going to favour them slighty as they still have a smidgeon of PL quality in there. Great to have some decent football back
Not sure I've ever heard 'Huddersfield v Burnley' and 'fascinating' used in the same sentence before.
