I think what I'm trying to say is, you can only vote for the available options. How many of the Tory voting public would honestly have chosen either Sunak or Truss to be the leader of their party if they were allowed to nominate people ?
Whilst I would never vote tory, the country is awash with those who do. Sunak and Truss are very prominent in the tory Party, and I suspect would be among the front runners. All a matter of opinion, of course.
Tour de France winner Vingegaard will earn £430,000 ($528,000), with Pogacar in second and 2018 winner Geraint Thomas in third place winning £170,000 ($211,000) and £86,000 ($105,000) respectively.
I bought a big screen LG 3D tv and 4 yr warranty with it. Bang on 7 years it won't tune in or run HDMI, only the apps in smart stored like Netflix, prime n couple of others work. So after contacting LG and retailer who passed buck back n fore, I quoted consumer rights , last a reasonable length of time etc. After being fobbed off for couple of weeks retailer said consumer rights last 6 years ! Convenient for em innit! And offered a poxy 5% discount off a new tv even though same tv's they have are over 5% cheaper elsewhere ! Cnuts !
The further back you go in time the better things were made, to last! My previous Samsung TV lasted 10 years. Still not amazing but ok. Also, it was "dumb" - no internet, no ads, no nonsense. When I replaced it it was impossible to get a "dumb" TV (and I tried!), they're all full of crap now. I had to configure my router to block a **** load of domains to stop ads appearing in the menu bar. Just ridiculous. There's a massive thread of disgruntled punters on the Samsung forum really pissed off with the ads.
@swantastic - by the way, I bought mine from Richer Sounds, they were doing 10 year warranties. Plus I got a free pair of £100 Sennheiser ear buds!
That's a whopping warranty. I bought a 55" Panasonic almost 15 years ago. It cost me £1,000.00 in a Sale, in Newport. Still have it. Never had any problem with it. Prices have dropped seriously in the intervening years. I sometimes wish it would quit on me so I could buy a newer model. Slimline, to hang on the wall.
There's lots of good deals out there, bit confusing on age n spec on some, but defo won't buy LG again ! It stopped supporting some apps like now tv a while back but got a stick off them for it. And my last Samsung lasted 12 years, so prob go for 55 or 65" Samsung or Hisense which are priced well for same spec.
My bad, it's a 6 year guarantee, not 10, just checked. Memory's not what it was Model's a Samsung QE49Q80T - 49 inch (4K). Plenty big enough for us (last one was 37). Brilliant picture (once I'd played with picture settings). I bemoan the "smart" features but there is one indispensable app - "Emby". I have an Emby server set up on my home server. It's a front end for all my TV, films and music. It displays everything with nice cover graphics and information (synopsis, cast) etc.
I bought my LG TV in 2012 - still has no issues. Never had any issue with it. Wife wanted the 3D with it, I didn't. We've never watched a 3D movie on it in the 10 years we've had it . Thing is, no matter how crystal clear the sound or picture is, Love Island is still completely ****. I'll never buy a Samsung fridge freezer again though.
I watched the first 2 episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi last night - loved it. Downloaded Tosh as well, haven't watched yet though.
