    All credit to England.
Sweden have never lost by more than 0-2 in the Euros.

    Fantastic stuff.

Hugely deserved, well done the girls.

What I liked was the way in which England looked for forward passes and would try through balls, spread the play and looked creative. There's a lesson there for the men's team, instead of dilly-dallying across the back, get the ball forward and you create opportunities. Proud of the lasses.

They deserve the plaudits, sensational 2nd half put the Swedes to the sword. Just waiting for that prat to pipe up about the lack of diversity...

    I probably agree.
However, the way they're doing it is working so I reckon they'll stick to it.

Fortunately watching on RTE and they're being really complimentary about this England side in a way they never speak about the men's team.......

An excellent attacking performance from England tonight, but we'll have to be improve defensively against stronger opposition in the final.

Difference here between the men's and women's teams, Gareth doesn't take the handbrake off. The girls played with a freedom we don't see with the men's team. Our players are good enough if they're trusted to show their quality...

This has been a breathe of fresh air. Although I don’t think the women’s and men’s games should be compared too closely, it’s been great to see the lack of anxiety, toxicity and sometimes anger that seems the norm now for the men from the fans perspective (not the players’ fault) and on the playing side the relative (it’s still there) lack of cynicism.

Not been so impressed with the pundits, especially Ian Wright who I usually like for his sheer enthusiasm. His joy at the success is great but he can’t help piling the pressure on ‘they have to do this/ we have to do that’ both for the team and the development of the game in England. They forget that the average wage for a professional in the WSL is about £30k pa. The BBC and Sky pay a combined £24m for 3 seasons of coverage. In the US, where the game is probably most developed, there is a salary cap of $52k (of course players get sponsorships etc as well). Try selling that to Ronaldo.

That was just barmy. Not only did it spoil our enjoyment but more importantly stopped the interviewee taking part.
