I really think you are in lala land if the you think the electorate want this after leaving so soon.

Its not ideal and it might not be great in my opinion but this horse has been flogged to death and people will die on this hill. Its time to move on from this and to talk about rejoining will be the death of an election campaign. Best just to move on and make the best of it.

I would agree about tories capturing the middle ground. I think that was more because labour for all their good policies had some really left wing policies that scared people off alongside the hatchet job on corbyn.

Saying that, i dont think the tories actually implemented many/if any policies that were to equal off inequality minus the stuff that came about because of the pandemic. I know they were giving extra money to constituencies which happened to have mps who back boris which i thought was pretty disgusting

Why? It's not reversing Brexit, it's solving some of the problems arising from Brexit.

Brexit means Brexit means Brexit. No single market for us.

Obviously it’s the sensible move but why go for that when we can spend another six years crying about EU intransigence to distract from every other issue in the country?

You should vote for the Demmers of Middle Earth and the Namby Pambyshires, Strolls. Not only will they put us back into the EU, they’d give Brexit bollocks.

Yea joining the eu is reversing brexit (but with a worse deal than when we were in the eu).

I just reckon the party that campaigns on this will definitely get into power so i reckon its a smart call by starmer

It’s not a very sexy policy to woo the Red Wall. Totally toxic issue which can only play into Sunak/Truss’ hands, IMO. Just gives the right wing of the Tories the ammo to scream “they’re trying to reverse Brexit” which obviously isn’t the case but makes for an easy soundbite. The more the next two years is focussed on Brexit, expensive and pointless as it is, the better their chances.

2/3 of our cheese is imported. These are key issues.

We now export partially made cricket balls to India to be finished off then imported, I learned by listening to enough Talksport. Why did none of the leadership hopefuls mention this?

    It's all kicking off.

Hearing that Sunak's team are going to respond in kind.

Meh. He’s a very rich man. Of course it looks dodgy. Perhaps it is. If he hasn’t factored this stuff in he doesn’t deserve to win.

Meanwhile Truss says economic policy has been **** for two decades. Most of it under the Tories and including her two year stint as Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Still, I can’t wait to find out how she will revolutionise everything, stop inflation, raise pay and increase productivity by the end of Q3. Is she still Foreign Secretary? How much of her day does she devote to that?
