Seen the Barnsley 'highlights' and it won't be long before DM consigns Nyatanga to a minor squad role.
Against Birmingham he was caught napping on the back post for their first goal - watch Fonts berate him.
Yesterday Nyatanga 'sold' himself worse than an under12 for the Barnsley goal. Trouble is for him is once his momentum is going one way he is unable to rectify, hence 'Ocean Liner'.
DM soon dropped J-C-R and reinstated Cisse and McGivern after the Brum game and it won't be long before Nyatanga warms the bench. Either by having a look at Wilson with Fonts, or Carey(when fit) with Fonts or longer term he may (what every City fan has cried out for) bring in a 'Caulker' on loan.

Whatever - DM will have sussed out Nyatanga.

The players who aren't good enough will be shipped out. Nayatanga has never done more than go through the motions for me. Del will suss him, but he wont be the only one.

Nyatanga played left back at Watford last season and was beaten all ends up by the Watford wide man in at least five 50/50 tackles. I thought wingers / wide midfielders were not supposed to win those sort of tackles.
I can't remember Thresher, Briggs, Drysdale in days past ever losing 40/60 tackles. Send him to Southampton where ocean liners dock.
Does he make Jamie McA look a good full back?

Nyatanga still switches off too many times for my liking.
His distribution is not really good enough for LB.
However, the lad cetainly has not been our worst player this season!!
By the way - Jamie McAllister has been a good servant to our club - the LB's that have played when he's been out have not been better??

The fact that he is one of our better players at the moment says a lot about our current predicament.

About time Redprintt got sussed out.........................................and he will be, never has a good word to say about Bristol City, always on someones back, LJ, Keith Millen, now it's Nyatanga. Lets all hope & prey City have a great rest of the season, we will not hear from this bloke, he can't comment when things are going well.

Disagree the guy is still young and has the qualities to make a really good centre half. He just needs some decent coaching and some encouragement. I would stick by him because as Shiny said we haven't exactly got options in that area.

    .

SOME OF US ON HERE do actually shine for both sides of the coin...OK I may linger longer than others but do spout off sometimes when things aint good as I do when they go well

But, BIGJ... YOU ARE RIGHT, ONE OR 2 DO HAVE THEIR MOMENTS BUT ONLY WHEN THINGS GO WRONG, OR START TO GO RIGHT, AND TAKE THE LAST FEW SWINGS BEFORE HITTING THE DECK, OR NEED A PLAYER TO BULLY....COME BACK LJ, SAVE THE TEAM!!! LOL

..ABSOLUTELY didnt see any mention of the times he's crossed for a goal, a complete item often doesnt come at the same time, it comes in installments.

BTW WE ARE ABOUT 4 WINS AWAY FROM GETTING CLOSE TO THE TOP 18 !

Lewin Nyatanga = rock solid tonight! As I posted earlier the boy has bags of potential and hopefully DM is tapping into that. Yes he's slow and turns like a cruise liner but that's where Fonts compliments him. Nyatanga will win ariel battles all day long and make blocks and tackles for fun. I really hope this partnership lives up to it's potential

Sorry, cant see it boys, watched him closely tonight, he doesn't have the mental quickness we need.

There have got to be better out there somewhere.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be playing at the moment as he is the prob best of the bunch and yes I will wait and see if he improves under Delboy (and I hope he does) but I just dont think he will, he seems slow minded to me, i noticed it last night too.
