Never been to an England game before. Gates at 11 and a 1pm start time. Whats the crack with when it will start to fill up? I was aiming to get to the ground about 12ish? Will it be rammed by then?

Any advice welcome.

You'll be fine at 12 mate, bag search and that on way in so can be ten minutes in a queue or something but you can usually go to a gate further round if one is rammed. I normally turn up towards start of play and it's all fine. Get in early and have a look round if it's your first one like, good to recce where is selling a decent pint for example, where bogs are, where seat is etc. so you can be nice and efficient during the game. Have fun pal, I can't wait for this. Bought a pensioner beige wide brimmed hat with neck cover flap today, which is horrific. Bet I could sell it for any price the morrow though "what a disgusting hat" 20 minutes later "wish I had one of them!" <laugh>

Usually take a bag of M&S pies and sandwiches and stuff in a cool bag with ice in but reckon the heat will challenge the longevity of such treats so might have to do with a couple of greggs pasties which are immune to spoiling I believe

Thanks mate, good advice. We have been through for a Durham T20 but wasn't sold out. We should be there for 12 and baked for 1300 <laugh><laugh>. Looking forward to it.

All good then! Might be an extra couple of wee bars behind the castle stand I think it's called which are just vans. Usually the ones with cocktails, champagne and that but sometimes have a tap with good beer in as well. I'm a little nervous of this heat if I'm honest, 3 goes at the sunscreen and a bit water between pints for sure! Secret weapon tomorrow will be a couple of extra shirts in your bag I reckon. Will feel amazing when you replace the sweaty rag on your back haha!

No shuttle buses on between the stadium and Durham station now (due to the weather FFS), so CLS station will be the usual carnage

Hahaha, never thought of a change of clothes. I've just got a cool bag of stuff for the bairn to look after him. He is buzzing for a day off school to watch this. I'm a bad dad. <cheers>:emoticon-0109-kiss:

Top man, bairn will get a lot out of it like. Great seeing their excitement for stuff isn't it? Glad my boy's not going with me, ginger hair and blue skin, proper Scot he is! Have a blast mate, you paint a good picture! <cheers>

It's a canny size, should fit under the seat ok though. I'm taking some bait in it as well as the fluids.
