Any thoughts on why the jobs were at risk from a virus only really effecting those 2 old 2 work in the first place........I'll just remind you the science of a 99.odd percent recovery rate from anyone without underlying health conditions.

I think you need to stop making out that it wasn't that important as it only really affected people with underlying health conditions. 24% of the UK population have underlying health conditions and a similar percentage worldwide.

https://bmcpublichealth.biomedcentr...=Results,of the population had multimorbidity.

Now that COVID has been with us for some time and the WHO have detailed reporting figures on excess deaths by country there are also interesting academic articles being published on excess death rates by country/region etc which suggest that in many countries COVID deaths may have been underreported, due to the testing and reporting techniques. Here is one of them.

Interestingly this backs up your argument that we overreported in the UK, as the excess deaths were lower than those reported as COVID deaths.

Obviously there is scope for error in the work (as they estimate excess deaths by comparing with recent yearly averages) and it can be argued that some of these excess deaths were caused by countries responses to COVID (e. g. stopping hospital treatment led to increased non-COVID deaths). However the estimated total number of excess deaths worldwide of 18.2million people suggest that COVID was an important contributor to mortality, and its unreasonable to assume that this was all down to our actions to prevent, rather than to the disease itself.

I am not saying you were wrong to not get vaccinated. Assuming you had no underlying health conditions it was a sensible call. The vaccine doesn't appear to have been particularly good at stopping you being a carrier so we can't even accuse you of being anti-social. However I had colleagues both with and without underlying health conditions who died from it, who didn't fall in the over 60's age group that were more susceptible so am happy that I took the decision to vaccinate.

So you are quite happy seeing billion s upon Billions filtered off by the chums of this party ?
And no effort put in to investigate it then ?

So how does Derbyshire know that 40 hospitals aren't going to be built?

It could mean, it could mean <laugh>
because there never was a plan to build 40 new hospitals it was just a sound bite and then the DoH were tasked with meeting that target without the dosh so the bosses did what always happens they fiddled the results managed the figures <whistle>

Yeah we all say the same.....welcome to the world of conspiracy dude
i lived that life of meeting targets even if we didn't - it's all smoke and mirrors my favourite being the JobcentrePlus explanation that "there aren't sanction targets just expectations" . Their internal "letters" page on the JCP intranet was a scream at the time <laugh>
The internal argument between bosses and staff soon led to it being leaked to the press :emoticon-0127-lipss
