The Rees Mong tactic - he was confronted by a journalist recently who had the actual EU rule that said we could have developed our own vaccine for Covid, even had we been in the EU. "yes, but leaving the EU gave us the confidence to develop our own vaccine". "But you said we couldn't have done it - we clearly could have?". "But had we stayed in the EU we couldn't have done it because we wouldn't have had the belief to do it ourselves".....

This is just stuff aimed at their most gammon-zealot, frothing, swivel-eyed loons. And boy, do they lap this ****e up.

Not much use having computers and communication if the fat oaf has snook off again without telling the security services so that he can be alone with his FSB handlers.

I saw him saying it. It was ridiculously stupid. You're in government, you've been in government for over a decade, but you don't have the belief to do it yourself. What a **** indictment of your own calibre to lead <laugh>

Funny that the shy tories on here never call this stuff out... but apparently they've never voted tory <doh>

Tragically for this country, your last point is correct. And the only people he knew would lap it up were tory supporters and he must've pissed himself laughing after the interview knowing they would!

Oh yeh I know, you've said so before so weren't aimed at you.

But there's plenty out there and a few on here who pretend otherwise ;)

I’m old enough and there certainly was a lower 5th at my school.

I left school in 1968. I think that the structure then was that you stayed on to do O levels fir one year. Then if you stayed another it was the upper fifth rather than sixth. So by extension the first year you stayed was the lower fifth.

But he didn't have a lower 5th at Mong Hill, so no-one anywhere else did and that makes him right.

I'm guessing you went to a grammar school, like myself? The Lower Fifth was for those not taking O Levels, usually taking CSEs (or nothing, in some cases). This changed to GCSE's the year after I left, and pupils started to be streamed accordingly (81-ish, IIRC?).

My bad for even casually suggesting that Dull and Q Mong could have gone to a grammar school. Patently daft. :emoticon-0138-think
